@jlgurry Daniel Tosh has a couple funny bits and that's it. He doesn't have what the others have and that's stage presence. He's just there and that's it. I think it all comes down to how their voice sounds, that's the key. Gaffigan has a strong voice that carries well. Seinfeld's voice is distinctly comical. And Chappelle has that urban quality to his voice. I find Tosh to be too plain and to go so far as to say he's one of the best comedians, I think is pushin it.

@RyZombie619 It's probably an age thing. Dane Cook uses young banter and mannerisms, but I find not much of substance in his material. Maybe he just needs some writers. But once again, comedy is subjective. My Dad and Granddad both adored Bob Hope, I thought the guy was a waste of stage space every time I saw him.

But as I got older, my tastes in comedy changed, my understanding of the world matured, I started to understand what he was talkin about and where he was comin from. An before I knew it he was one of my favorite comedians.

The reason why some people don't like him is because rather than doing quick witted one line jokes, instead what he does are these long drawn out bits and scenarios. And I think what most people want is a quicker delivery, a more rapid fire like act. And I think it's unfortunate, cause he does have some comedic talent. But for the past 4-5 years now he's taken himself out of the spotlight, so he's not as relevant as he used to be.
