A lot of crying about titles... I assume SCA or boffers/LARPers who have their own sense of what "Knighthood" is to them and because these guys go through a different process WHILE GETTING PAID for it - ya'll mad. Yeah, they overswing and their shield work is garbage, but they're showmen and the way we fight is not as entertaining on the sidelines as it is on the field - these guys have fun jobs that they really get into and greatly enjoy. Get off their nuts - you're like jealous women.
To the dick heads below me.This is a dinner show, these guys are doing a job and probably one they love.
Horses they would have to know about and some fighting techniques
No different from a damn movie you watch.
It is an awesome show because I attended one in Toronto and it was great entertainment just like anything else.
For the ones that have a negative attitude towards this, your probably a bunch of limey wankers ! That don't know your bloody mid evil history anyways!!!
@Vicmustaine1 Meaning these guys neither know what theyre talking about, nor what theyre teaching. They remind me of Fred Villari. A "knight" is used to be (and still is) a high title that cant just be givin to anyone. These people seem to use this title to attract guests into theyre circus act.
Also where is this located? It seems like an American countryside.
@Vuretas Apparently you do not know what Medieval Times is, so your statement is considered useless to me. It is a restaurant, and these guys play as knights for a show. What they are talking about is what they do day to day before starting the show, not what actual knights did or do now.
@Vuretas They are actors/actresses, playing roles as Knights, Squires, Kings and Princesses. Their roles are similar to their real life counter parts of the 11th century. In the castles, the beginners are squires and training to be a knight. They're talking about being able to play the part of a knight. It's just like a movie based in Medieval Europe, where and actor/actress is taking up the part of a knight, king, squire, queen, princess or other areas of the Royal Court.
make a point of hiring dudes with Historical Fencing knowledge and experience. that way you cut training time more than in half! except for the horse stunts. thats time consuming stuff!
i love knights!

It's such a stupid question but what kind of map is that at the very beginning?
bcharville 1 year ago
@bcharville It's a map of Europe with a type of language I don't know what. My editor found it and it worked perfectly.
