Wow! Lots of high level technique and improvisation from such a young man. Great! Assuming he is in the U.S., hopefully he is diversifying to all types of percussion and music.
maskedman, go to africa, thery're a dime a dozen. I'm not trying to put the young man down, it's just the truth. The little boys in Guinea, start performing very early.
wow! this young man is the next mamady keita! i have never seen a person this young get such crisp and distinct slaps and tones out of the djembe. awsome!!!!
I've always said this, you can learn to play the drums but you can't learn how to truely be good (like this kid) its just natural, i saw a five year play almost similar, these kids are naturals!!!
I became 4days ago, and i play this instrument since 7years, and it's really cool!!! I remember me and my group playing at a school festival, everything was cool, sometimes there was laughing and all, but when we started, everybody started to move, this means it has cool rythms in it, and it's true^^
LOL! He is my son and has been drumming since he was in my womb. The understanding that he is exercising his birthright eliminates any headaches I may have!
I hope you continue to nuture him with drumming and african culture
"What africans have done we as africans in america can do ...africa is in us, all we have to do is awaken it and what better way to do that than with drums
Amazing talent, thanks for sharing. I was getting sick of all the mediocre or worse 'cute child' drummers on Youtube. This kid is a joy to watch and listen to.

Otra buena interpretación, en el Djembe, y lo mejor es que es un niño, casi joven que buena onda, saludos desde la Ciudad de México.
