@msambur My friends and I play this when we get drunk, we form a conga line and run around the room and when the music pauses we change direction. That's why the pauses are necessary.
@Ginalight20 I am not one of the people who disliked this, but when I see people like you I find myself obligated to defend them. On what account do you call them "retarded convicts"? What have they done other than to express their rightful opinion on a completely subjective matter? I completely agree that this song is great, but I do respect any other opinion nonetheless, however different it may be. It makes me sad to see comments like the one you wrote. It shows how primitive we all are.
the first time i saw the title, i thought it said poltergeist. And now, that's what i think of every time i hear this. Its a fun song. i just wish i was skilled enough to be able to play something like this on my piano.
@rhinobassdude Phil Coulter has been making world famous music since the sixties when he composed for Luke Kelly amongst others. This is not a new phenomenon. Look for his earlier stuff. This is an amazing tune nonetheless.
I wonder if anyone has thought to ask Phil Coulter what he thinks of Heidron Dolde's Halloween cover of this great song? I for one would be interested in his comment!
According to Highland Cathedral album (Phil Coulter's 2000 album that features this track) cover; The name of this song derives from Phil being given an award for his music and at the assioated Gala dinner, a fellow diner complained that she'd had to endure another of Phil's piano pieces piped through the lift (elevator) speakers as Musak. Her partner replyed 'Why my dear din't you know that's the Coultergeist(!)'. Phil could hardly miss out on such a 'catchy' title.
super good music. i am addicted to it . thats the way phil coulter deliver his music .... simply amazing. it also sound similar to jay chou's secret piece.
i heard that track "accidently" on a radio station for older people ... this track is a master piece that really makes you think about your music taste ... if classic keeps on performing liek that i'll totally like that ... or i m getting old .. its great! Made it my mobile hone ring tone just now
This song moves me; has a French sound to it as well and is both melancholic and joyful at the same time in an uplifting wonderful way. If there were words, I hear "that's how it goes my friend...life".
lol- for some reason I keep imagining a ghost in the kitchen cooking. Nice work, Coulter!

I think those sudden pauses in the music are so much unnecessary
It is really ruining the whole composition
I think my computer is stuck when I hear those delays

Phil Coulter you are a musical genius! Your music expresses a vast array of emotions that only a master muscian could even think of composing.
