After more than a decade of public healthcare with mandatory coverage, so many Canadian doctors have left the practice and so many young people have entered other fields that Canada ranks 26th of 28 developed nations in its ratio of physicians to population. Once, Canada ranked among the leaders in the number of physicians, but that was before government healthcare drove doctors out of the practice in droves.

Dual citizenship friend was on waiting list for Canadian prostate operation. Cancer was fast growing, he was 40, Died before even got anywhere near the top of list. Nice Universal system, weeds out the weak.? Many Canadian Doctors and professional healthcare workers come to USA to work in any system that pays more. Causes a shortage of Dr's in Canada. Result, waiting lists for Dr's and facilities. Solution not simple as most people think. Remove Tort law Parasitic Drag for a start? DaFlikkers

First of all, condolences for the passing of your friend. Though I don't know either you or your friend, I sincerely feel sad for a passing that could have been prevented. I would have a question for you though. What really caused the passing of your friend? Wasn't it really a lack of organs. What was that list based on? Again, condolences, hoping for an even better system to be established.
