  • model shuld be 3713.

  • I have one of these they push a good amount of air.

  • All 90's box fans are good. There just not as good as the vintage ones. Theyere defintaly way better then the garbage thats sold on the market today. I had me a Lakewood box fan model 200i from 1992. Sadly the motor burned out after 11 years of useage.

  • I bought one brand new in the box last year off of ebay, I was stupid and got rid of the box but I use the fan everynight for my white noise..works much better than the old ones..and mine had the receipt with it in the box...was from 1992

  • my dad had a Kenmore box fan just like this one when i was little. it had a really nice startup sound when i flipped it directly to low speed. does this one have a startup sound?

  • check out my lasko one it is the exact same style

  • the date is useually on the bottom of the cabinet you could probally fid it says 89-90 for the date

  • i had one of these there good fans too im looking fo a slightly older one like this. the handles are known to break one these

  • It's either late 80's or early 90's. I knew a guy with an older version which had the center badge in the grill and the plastic motor.

  • I think this is the same fan I have, that was in the video "Galaxy box fan starts up after decade of rusting"

What's the model number? Mine's too rusted to tell.

  • Where is the model number usually located...in the bottom of the cabinet? I didn't seem to see any identification on mine but I'll look again.

  • It's possible that they are not marked. I think it would be stamped into the bottom of the cabinet somewhere if it was.

  • @retrochad it should be stamped on the bottem and also on the bottem is the year it was made in

  • It looks older than 1990's I'd say mid 80's if not a little earlier.

  • It seems like at some point Galaxy made the change from beige to grey color...I seem to remember seeing the grey colored ones in stores in the 90's but am not positive. I guess sometime maybe in the late 90's they gave up this design for the real cheap flimsy thin plastic blade design as I saw a real cheaply made "Galaxy" at a thrift shop today.

  • @retrochad

For a brief time, they made them with gray blades too.

  • reminds me of lakewood box fans
