I met Tommy at a post office around the corner. He has a real positive attitude.

Tommy was an original. I am a native New Orleanian and watched him play against the Saints in the late 1960s. I now live in New Mexico and Tommy is a native son here and a state icon. Tommy was simply the best. I love the fact he never wore a face mask in his NFL career. He is one of my heroes. Thank you Tommy!

this guy was one of the TOUGHEST players to ever play!! he never wore long sleeved jerseys and this was an era when no-one had domed stadiums!! he always wore short sleeved jerseys and i think he even played in Detroit along with Cleveland, Phillie, all cold weather cities!! throw him the ball and he'll snag it. great memories watching him play. it's amazing that he made the Hall with playing with so many different teams but it shows just how good he was!!

This is great E-Rock. I obviously never got to see Tommy play, but I tell ya... you'd be hard pressed to find a former Eagle player that bleeds as much Eagle green as Tommy does. He just seems like a real, cool down to earth man. Great stuff!
