I am learning a keys, and noticed you are hitting a bunch of dissonant notes, when F# is the only sharp in Eminor. Grace notes?? It sounds good. Is it Eminor or harmonic minor???
Well, I think I am just playing in regular old E minor, with F# in the scale. The dissonance comes from playing a D major chord but adding a G to the top of it, sounding at the same time as the F#.
I must say, it is pretty awesome, why? Because i compose music myself every day, (not because it's my job, just for fun) but this is actually impressive, it gave me just an idea for another composition ;)
I had a organ teacher ,one hour once a week, for 7 years-and I allways try to use my left hand some more various for basslines etc...but mostly I fail.
But I had a break for nearly 20 years(caused by other interests...)and hope i will succeed one day!Think i will place you for me as an idol!
How iz the MOTU machfive, Im thinking about getting the machfive 2....Are the sounds that it comes good or iz it just better off for loading and chopping samples.....
About KEYBDWIZRD yes I read your bio sounds like you got in on the music scene when nobody new where the format standard? was gonna go didn't aol use your song online boogie with your permission or did you compose it for them :ie brian eno for windows startup.
I think that I remember hearing it for a AOL ad on tv before. it was just the beginning of the song...getting online just got better and now with american online you can do more than you could before with chat, yada yada yada... when they were the only way to connect to the internet...or there was no competition. I could be wrong.. its just something I remember.
Dear Michael where Have You Been Lost Track After The music Of cyberspace site went defunked I first found out about your music from what eventually became About you were part of a collection of musicians posting on what i think was a newsgroup or somthing like that.the first song i heard was Dreaming In Stereo I emailed u u said I should check out the Music of Cyberspace and I have been hooked since its good to hear your still playing..p.s. Oh man, people like you brings the name synthesis (working on synthesizers) to a rather higher level. Listening to you performing this song make me close my eyes and dream about driving a Chevy trough Los Angeles in the sunset. You really inspire me to make music on synthesizers. By the, do you really need to take piano lessons if you're only making music at home like you do??
Well, no one has to take piano lessons. But if you want to learn technique, get into the routine of practicing, and understand chords, scales, etc., then piano lessons are probably a good idea, whether you want to play at Madison Square Garden or just at home.
At first: good stuff!
but itherwise i think, if it is necessary to have 3 keys on the table...

Great song, sounds pretty much 80s to me. Love the bass-line.

That'd be hilarious if you opened a plane's cockpit door mid flight--and learned that this is actually how they fly the plane.

Are those MIDI Keyboards? I'm interested in composing music, but MIDI keyboards, from what I've seen are expensive...
xenialvirtuoso 2 years ago
Virtually every keyboard/synthesizer manufactured since the early-mid 80's has had MIDI functionality.

What happened to the band wiz ... you should have joined bands or at least work with other people for simbiosis ...

For 20+ years I had jobs that didn't afford me the time to play in bands. I have, however, been playing in a band during the past year or so.

Hi again,
When I see your fingers "flying" over the keys I allways think to myself:
"Why didn`t you learn to play the piano?
So you could use your left hand in a better way than playing stupid accords"
But piano allways sounded so lonely bad:-))
So what did you basicly learn?piano or organ/keyboard?
Or all just by yourself?
In my dreams I wake up inside your music room and I´m in heaven:-)
keep on like this!
