  • whats the name of that cage and how much was it?? i might get a cockatiel and i want the best for it:)

  • Hello Barb,

i love this film of the birds! they are so cute and look very friendly. I was wondering how old your birdies are? You look like you love them a lot and i think its very sweet! I have one who is nearly 3 now and i love him too.

  • Hi Barb...I hope you still have your bird and it's giving you the same amount or even more joy than ever. Can we get an update?

  • @Tiels40 Hello thank you for looking at my video. Yes I still have them and I love them so much. I still have the same cages but could recommend better cage if they do not come out allot. You need to be careful closing them and not in haste.

  • where did you get them and how much

  • @wazupwierdo I got mine from a breeder out of a newspapper, about 30-40 dollors

  • dumb..........

  • Please do not encourage your birds to go into dark places like this cage covered up in my video where I describe they get vicious. Dark places get there hormones going and they want to mate, build a nest and guard their cages. Not a good thing. They get really mean.

  • @barb2birds They get mean for a good reason, to keep the eggs safe.

  • I Just go a 6 month old male cockatiel from the local pet store. he seems to be very stressed and wont let me near him. all he does all day is sit on one perch!

    Any Tips?

  • All cockatiel owners, please pay enough attention to your pet birds and bird proof your home. Birds and parrots are like 2 year old children - toddlers that need lot's of love and attention. If you are unable to provide this for your pet birds, please find a better home for them.

    Thank you.

  • I'm _able_ to provide this for my pet birds, but I don't know where to start.. They're anti social and don't like coming out of the cage.. (They were from petsmart so they aren't hand fed etc..)

  • What measurements is the cage pleas? :) I'm getting a Cockatiel pretty soon I was thinking something like 40 x 50 x 60cm. Would that be ok?

  • I don't know what the CM are. But if you are not going to ever take the cockatiel out of the cage much, you would want a taller cage. My cage is 14 inches wide, 19 inches high and 23" long.

Thank you for watching my video :)

  • That's ok your birds are very cute :) Ithink I'll just get a cage thats quite roomy for it, roomy as in for example when it strches, the tip of the wings won't touch the cage wire. Ooh I just need a bit more cash then I'm good to go :D

  • That's sounds great. Have you seen the Alex the gifted parrot videos yet? All bird lovers must see him. Dr. Irene Pepperberg did a 30 year study with him and proved he had the intelligence of a 5 year old child and the emotions of a 2 year old child. Type " Alex the Gifted Parrot" in YouTube search and let me know your thoughts on the videos.

  • WOW such a intellegent bird!! But yet aren't ALL birds :) It's such a tragic loss for Alex to go. If you want some comedy from parrots I highly recommend X Rated Parrot from a guy who calls himse;f "oneneverlovesenough" he's got loads of video's just choose any number between 1-98. He's working on more video's. But I warn you it's got VERY strong language (but I find it funny coming from a parrot) chek it out and take care :)

  • please explain.

  • thats not a very good cage
