How prayer supposed to help? Why should God help if you won't help yourself. You gotta fight back against the violence, against the evil .. otherwise evil will win. If your hands are bounds, and you voice is silent .. then if the only thing you can do is pray then go ahead. But that is not your situation .. take a stand against violence .. make sure people are caught .. make sure there is justice.
