My Maggie McShaggie doesn't have one, and it's so cute to see her "nub" wiggle when she's happy! I heard that they don't remove their tails at all in Europe.
Mine doesn't have her tail. Why did the breeder decide to keep it, and what is the story behind the bobbing? Tail or not, I love Sheepdogs and it always makes me happy to see that someone is giving a beautiful sheepie a fun and loving home! Your dog is adorable!!!
The thing with bobtailling has to do with the fact they were consider working dogs helped maintaining the farm and the sheeps- OES without the tail made them identifiable as working dogs thus tax exemptable, and made easy while they are at work too.
My lovely old sheepdog had her tail. Sure, she swept every table in the house clean with it, but it was a major part of her charm, too. Dogs don't NEED their tails cropped anymore. Hooray for sheepdogs with large, unruly tails!
it's not allowed to cut the tail in europe - and that's good so, too.

I figured that since Emma doesn't have a tail, she has to wiggle her whole back end ... and she does it A LOT.
