All good, but I have to wonder: Is it ENcouraging...or...DIScouraging that a guy with all Matt's training, years of practice, and skills, still starts to draw sometimes, and gets something that causes him to say, That didn't turn out too well - "...you can see all my proportions are really out of whack."
I do the repitive line thing around the body, very lightly, if I'm having trouble with a pose. It really helps me find the shape and where it should be. I work with circles alot, pointing out all the joints. I guess that's kinda an elementry thing...? I don't know. My style is cartoony, but I always come back to realism when I have difficulty with something, it's how I practice and to make sure I understand the anatomy.
