@samusaran11 They actually explained about it in one version. It was in Power Rangers RPM, and it was explained that the excess energy had to be released somehow. I'm not nagging or acting elitist for doing this, but you should look into that episode of RPM, 'cause it answers the age old question of the series "What's with the explosions?".

Now that I look closely I see that there are more similarities to MMPR than the obvious ones! A team up with Ninja Rangers is similar to the Alien Rangers Team Up, Every color used here was used in MMPR, There was an evil White Ranger, and the final ranger has a Dragon connection along with the starting initial T in there first name.
