Bees are cool. Not killer bees, however. Even though this is a big, big bee, these black ones are pretty docile, if you dont "F" with them. Hornets and wasps have a bad rap too. Unless of course, you step on a hornet's nest!

OMG. That's not a bumble bee, that's a carpenter bee. Carepenter bees have yellow on top and black on the bottom, the males have white on their face. This one here is a female and yes she has a stinger, but she will only sting you if she's extemely provoked. The males don't have a stinger. I would never get that close to any bee.

It is a female carpenter bee not a bumble bee. Carpenter bees eat holes in wood to build a nest on their own. Honeybees live in colonies. You can tell its a carpenter bee by the shiny abdomin. Bumble bees have all furry abdomins.
