  • dude this made me jump

  • i hear this is better for the wrists but never found need for it myself, anyone ever found successful results with it?

  • looks like 295, he should took that shit like a man. fuckin pussy

  • That's why I always bench inside power racks only.

Besides... thumbless grip?? Really man?? C'mon!

  • Disaster all round. The lifter's moving all over the place, jiggling like a daddy-long-legs and the spotter's playing hands on, hands off. Helps to use spotters you know, and talk about what you're gonna do beforehand, then debrief.

  • @Richthor1889 The problem wasn't the weight, it was that he had his thumbs on the outside like a jackass. If he had been holding it properly with his thumbs on the other side, the weight wouldn't have free fallen from the sky slamming into his chest. It's like if a dude ran of a cliff and that's why you refuse to go running.

  • BOTH FUCK HEAD.

  • One word .......dumbass

  • @geraados lets ask 10 year olds on the internet whether or not im going to die.

  • wow sick, i always get scared watching this

  • instant kill

  • I fucking felt that OUCHHHHHHHHH

  • i use a suicide grip all the time at 315. i love that grip

  • @likeomgutube Me too i feel safe with this grip and thats how i was taught by a few amateur compiteters

  • left me winded from all the over here !

  • thanks i use to do that.... thanks

  • that wasnt even 300lbs it was 295

  • @metaltaint20

    Yea big deal ... r.r

  • ahh..the suicide grip

  • OH.MY.GOD.

  • Where's the rest of the video?

  • its a horrible way to grip the bar... well youre not gripping the bar at all this way and the chances of it slipping out of your hands are greatly increased.

  • DAMN my chest hurts just watchin that ...

  • ooohh my gosh! I cant imagine how much air got knocked out of him...

  • I lifted for years with open grip. nothing wrong with it. One can see this tard has his wrists rotated towards his feet which CAN NOT work, closed grip or not.

  • no the guy actually benching posted the video and said earlier he benched heavier weights before or somthing like that but he was alright

  • It's one thing to bench press 300 or more lbs. but taking 300 or more lbs. to the chest and survive is beast status to me.

  • i love how the spotter makes the most dramatic release he can

  • LMAO

  • lol i already seen this fuken video on ''worlds most amazing video's'' that guy should of had a fractured chest . but he must be solid . but im solider

  • thumbs out, only for real lifters.

  • that sux

  • zhahahahahhahahahaha

  • I honestly just don't feel safe enough with the thumbs out grip to even try any weights with it.

  • Did the spotter get extra points for quick release?

  • HA HA FUCKTARD!

  • i don't get it. why shouldn't you bench with thumbs out?

  • watch the video at 17 seconds dude. thats why.

  • totaly fucking stupid. just grip the bar simple as.

  • How about maybe blaming the spotter who failed to use an alternated grip? One palm up and one palm down may have been able to help with not allowing the bar to drop that easily. No communication was used at all.

  • @Reese1379 How about you're fucking stupid?

  • @crystallinentity How old are you? I bet this bothers you because this has happened to you. Hahahahaha!

  • @Reese1379 You idiots who blame the spotter for not being able to catch 300 plus pounds in free fall are just stupid, that's all there is to it. Nobody has the reflexes nor ability to stop such heavy weight on a dime. If he drops it out of nowhere all the spotter can do is pull it off him.

Also what you said makes no sense... it must have happened to me and that's why im arguing? Then why am I siding against him and sayng it's his fault and not the spotters? You are truly stupid.

  • @crystallinentity Relax! Wow, you must have anger issues and other issues I don't need to mention. Especially coming on here and calling people names. I pray for you.

  • @Reese1379 The only issues I have are with ignorant people who act like they know what they are talking about. :)

  • @crystallinentity Idiots, stupid, ignorant....what else you got? By the way, are you a certified trainer?

  • @Reese1379 Oh I have no more, I'm satisfied now. You know you have someone beaten when all they do is change the subject over and over, lol.

    Farewell.

  • @crystallinentity Wow, once again, how old are you?

  • @Reese1379 You again? 2 months later? Lol. #FAIL. I already said, I'm done with you.

  • Don't know what's worse. The way that guy felt after that happen or the idiots who can't spell to save their life and take it serious like they're pro lifters.

  • i dont know whats worse. the way that guy felt after that happend or the people who worry about other peoples spelling.

  • thumbs out is stupidity

  • OWNED haahaah

  • it doesn't matter what grip you use i've seen this shit happen to guys who put there thumbs around the bar. i don't bench much but when i do i use the thumbless grip less stress on the forearms

  • great video. thats the biggest mistake a lifter can make. doesnt make any sense to me to not securely hold the bar.

  • jesus fucking christ did that guy die...seriouly is he dead?

  • @AttackOfTheDoctor no, this is actually the less likely way to die in a gym

  • @AttackOfTheDoctor Lol no, your chest doesn't start to run into problems until around 650 pounds are on it.

  • @GGxBeast 300 pounds turns into a lot more than 650 pounds of force when it falls on you.

But where did you get your 650 figure from? Please don't make up numbers.

  • @ninjajesus81 Thats true i've seen people do 500 and nearly get hung/Fail. So yeah your right one guy said he tore a peck muscle doing a machine assisted lift with 185

  • YOU'RE FUCKING AWSM. HAHA

  • yes i was wondering does having your thumbs out increas strength somehow?

  • why did he even have his thumbs in that position??

  • first off all ur not stupid but benching is a great workout for sports aspesaly football when you push someone its just like pushing the bar but yes benching is one of the more dangrus workouts so is deadlift squat and the that i forget the name but some guy broke his arm dering the 08 olypics

  • Ok, lesson. Anyway bench press is dangerous, maybe more than any lifts, even with spotters. It's not even a natural or functional movement anyway in life, not useful for heavy works, gymnastic, climbing, other sports. Why has it become so important as benchmark of strength? You can press with safer dumbells, develop chest through variations of dumbell flies. If you insist on wanting that type of steady motion, do deep weighted push ups instead, where you have the safer floor instead than the bar

  • u a fitness expert or something? idiot

  • Well, clever guy, I hope you are an expert if you say like that...here it's mostly opinions but..what wa yours?

  • your retarded do you realize bench pressing is a pressing motion it helps guys block on the football field by pushing the defender or offensive player backwards its the best chest excercise out and im an expert
