This would have been a great political speech, but he had to tie his religion into it :/ Politics and Religion are two seperate entities, that's what are founding fathers had in mind and that's the way it should be, because so many religions exist it's impossible to make everyone happy, and it's almost impossible to know what's true. The only thing that comes close to truth is Science and Fact, and that's what people need, not whimsical fables of a time without eyeglasses and too much trust..
AND any polititian who steals elections, or is backed by halliburton, or protects the second amendment rights of TERRORISTS, but not the first and sixth amendments of anyone, or calls his voters "idiots" as guliani does. and, sean penn? are you serious? you consider sean penn a larger threat than everything bush has done? come on!
I wish Americans would Wake Up! Kucinich has my vote...and if he does not do well...I hope he runs as an independent. If he drops out...I'm voting for Ron Paul. Those are our only choices!
I am grateful to the beautiful person who offered this video to US. Kucinich has restored my hope that there can be truth in politics, truth in the center of our nation, truth based in love and compassion for all -- beyond borders, beyond fear, beyond limit.
Why are you obsessed with the "statist" boogeyman? Socialism is the only practical plan to eliminate the state. Unless you understand that it is inequality and class oppression that create the state in the first place, you cannot hope to free yourself from it. There is a reason that the first to call themselves "Libertarians" were anarchist-SOCIALISTS.
Previet comrade Hushashabega. Socialism is the ultimate expression of statism. Apparently you're a lover of Marxian economics, which does not minimize central State control at all, but maximizes it. This is a philosophy/economic system that the United States fought against for almost a half a century. We saw how well it worked out for the USSR -- and now China, which is just kapitalizing away.
Maybe you could go and write a manifesto or something, similar to the one Marx and Engles did in the 19th century. Socialism demonstrably fails because it is based on flawed assumptions with respect to human nature. What created our Nation was the quest for the principles of the philosophy of Liberty -- which were later specified in the U.S. Constitution -- which is the law that governs out Government.
Our forefathers suffered from State (monarchial) oppression and despotism, not "class" oppression. We are currently faced with the same situation again and Ron Paul is the closest thing that we've got to a Thomas Jefferson of the 21st century.
Dennis Kucinich is a purebred Marxist-Socialist that has little expert knowledge of monetary/economic systems. Dr. Paul, on the other hand, is a highly recognized expert both on the Hill and off in such systems. The banking scam that we call the Federal Reserve system, which "loans" our Government fiat (funny) money that we (taxpayers) all pay hundreds of billions of interest on annually -- that literally has a stranglehold on OUR Government and us -- will cease to exist if Dr. Paul is elected.
This is critical to restoring sound monetary policy, fiscal responsibility, and accountability to Gov't. A move into Socialism will only serve to quickly destroy this Country. A move to limiting CENTRAL government to its Constitutional bounds will serve to save this Country from its looming destruction and will assist in the restoration of our unalienable Rights and liberties.
Tell me how Dennis plans to "centralize" the economy any more than it already is. Reforming health care? By eliminating corporate influence from the system he would lessen the power of bloated economic bohemoths.
Dennis plans to implement a new Federal income tax --of ten euphemistically called a "payroll tax" -- to fund his neo-socialist health care plan. His plan includes "teaser rates", that will quickly be changed once the plan is in place -- just like all taxes. He also will raise the rates on the existing Federal income tax.
In contrast, Ron Paul wants to eliminate the Federal income tax completely, eliminate the Internal Revenue Service, and finally eliminate the banker's scam known as the Federal Reserve System (which is the central bank that Thomas Jefferson abhorred) and return this nation to sound monetary principles and limited central government. This is the rational method to purge "corporate influence" from "the system". Jefferson and other Founders knew it, and so does Paul.
His health care plan would cost the government less than health care does today because he would cut out corporate profit associated with subsedising costs to private corporation.
If Kucinich were a Marxist he would not be running for president. If you knew anything about Marxism you would know that it sees capitalism as unreformable. The only solution is revolution according to Marx. Damn you are ignorant.
Now, now, sticks and stones... And just look who's calling the kettle black. DENNIS KUCINICH is recognized, not just by me, but by many others as THE MOST LEFT-WING CANDIDATE currently in the Democrat candidate field. He sees the all-powerful State as the solution to our many problems -- he wishes to allow the massive and ever-expanding central Government to take care of our problems for us. His view is that of a dyed-in-the-wool Socialist.
The Communist Manifest had some planks associated with it too. Perhaps you ought to read Marx & Engels infamous work and then come back and tell us if you actually buy into it...
I have. Some of it was considered out-dated by Marx himself in his life time. Das Kapital is a more coherent undiluted Economic theory and better Marxist theory in my oppinion. The point is, the Manifesto is no bible of socialism; I quote Luxemburg "Marxism must abhor nothing so much as the possibility that it becomes congealed in its current form. It is at its best when butting heads in self-criticism, and in historical thunder and lightning, it retains its strength."
The correct term is a "Social Democrat", a person who wants to reform capitalism. You called him a Marxist which is a blatent lie (though not actually an insult in my book).
You call him whatever you like. But that doesn't at all change the fact that he espouses many of the basic principles of a Marxist brand of Socialism.
Like I said, if you were right he would be organizing unions and calling for a general strike to crush the bourgeoisie state, not running for office to become apart of it.
Wrong. Our forefathers suffered from oppression by an imperial/colonial nobility, or from the land-owning classes. The state was their tool to enforce their rule and oppress us.
What I did I say above? Apparently you don't understand the word "monarchial". To wit: "Our forefathers suffered from State (MONARCHIAL) oppression and despotism...". They didn't suffer from a colonial "nobility", they suffered from a CENTRAL State imperial "nobility" -- which is very similar to the situation that we currently face in this Country.
I dissagree. It was the economic interests of the british nobility which the central state enforced. If it wasn't for the mercantilist economic prerogatives of the ruleing class, the British state would have no buisness oppressing the american colonists.
But the constitution predates the industrial revolution in the US. The founding fathers never imagined industrial capitalism and the accumulation of private wealth.
The Constitution is a timeless document and still retains the full force and effect of law. To my knowledge, it's never been abolished. It's not "just a goddamn piece of paper" as our own King George has vituperatively decreed. It just so happens that it's the hightest law in the land; the law that governs the government; the parent law from which all child law is derived within the borders of this Country; and it's the binding contract between the American People and the American Government.
The Constitution has also been lawfully amended several times since it's creation. The Founders left provision to modify it, although they made it difficult to do -- and with very good reason. The problem is that our Government has violated the terms of the agreement over and over again -- taking the end around path to modify it UNLAWFULLY and WITHOUT AUTHORITY.
You obviously have never heard of anarchism or libertarian socialism. You obviously have no idea who Mikhail Bakunin, Anton Pannekoek, or Rosa Luxemburg were. Socialists (some even Marxists) who's philosophies are in every way diametrically opposed to statism and the "Communist" dictatorships, the perversions of Marxism and Leninism, of the 20th century. Real socialism is besed on total decentralization of the economy. Google "workers' councils". Then come and tell me I support statism.

If you support DENNIS KUCINICH, then you support STATISM comrade. He absolutely reeks of it. We have a governing document in this Country called the U.S. Constitution. You, Dennis, and others wish to UNLAWFULLY subvert it. Forget it, it's not going to happen. Kucinich is doomed to failure. The People are waking up...

If you like Kucinich's words, watch "I Have a Dream in New Orleans." It is a speech about a nonviolent resistance movement in New Orleans.
