Over the last few weeks I've had the chance to field test the Evolution LT. I fished it at Eagle Lake, Northern Calif.(home of the world famous Eagle Lake Rainbow) and at 5 DOT Res. also in N. Cal. After releasing well over 100 powerful rainbows, the Evolution LT continued to perform flawless. Fish after fish the drag was smooth as silk. It was an absolute pleasure to fish with. I highly recommend the Evolution LT to all avid flyfishers. Doug O. Calvada Flyfishing.
Would you reccommend this reel for an Sage 896-4 Z-Axis that will be used for red's, silvers and big Bow's? or should I look at the Momentum LT or Vexsis? Thanks for your help, love all your video's!
Hi Graham, thanks for checking in! I'd check out this reel and the Momentum LT for that setup. The Evolution LT would save you some money and a lot of weight, while the Momentum LT would give you a heavier-duty drag system, which could definitely be a good thing with those salmon. There's a big weight difference - I'd see how each balances on your rod before you decide.

Trust me - you don't want to see how I tie my favorite flies...but we've got some stuff from actual legitimate fly tyers in the hopper!

OK...I will take you at your word.
I am new to fly tying, and look forward to some of your tying videos. Tying is great fun!
