in my opinion i think both MH and GEB are good games, MH tends to be more realistic, looking at the scenery it looks pretty real and like some ppl said here that great sword(GEB is BS) looks heavy and seems heavy when carried, it pretty much proves that it is realistic. While GEB tends to be more sci-fi since this game takes place somewhere in 2071. like dpbrother2 says, the GE where injected aragami cells in their body so taking a BS seems so easy. It is better to play GEB 1st than play MH
God Eater is amazing. I liked it alot more than monster hunter because it has longer and more creative story line. Btw in case ur wondering the reason the characters carry the huge weapons like they weigh nothing is cuz they have aragami cells inplanted in them to make them almost super human(Like shinra infusing SOLDER operatives with mako energy in FFVII). Give the game a chance and u wont be sorry. Trust me ;)
After playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for 2 weeks, and playing Gods Eater Burst for 2 weeks, I have to say I enjoy GEB a bit more. Monster Hunter has a massive learning curve that makes things difficult to get into, and feels too complicated at times, personally. GEB is a more edgy, stylish feeling game, and it gives more leeway to people who don't want to lose all 3 of their lives as soon as they start attacking something.

its a high speed game and they slightly exaggerate it its not a realistic game like MH freedom unite thats why they carry their weapons lightly, its a great game dont compare it to MH
One thing that scares me about this game (because it makes me Jizz in my pants only be looking at how awesome it is so far) is that the camera seems bad.. in MH (PsP) it's hard to use (then of course you get used to it) but in this clip I see transitions that look ...bad. D: I deeply wish that I am wrong and that the game plays well.
@Sadevile With bowgun, u play camera as MH, but with blade u can target the enemy. Thats why u see some "changes of camera". Thats a good funciton i wish they put on MH, at least, as a jewel skill xD.

nah.. if that's monster hunter in the future. they should put some cool weapons. just like buster sword that can change into a bow or dual blades. and if they want this game to be a kickass piece of shit they should put some AC!! But in PSP2 u fight bosses and monsters just like this, and the moving around and controls are more similar to PSP2.
Games with story lines tend to be very short,since MH has no set story it's a very long and fun game,Most of the time I buy games with story lines,god of war,etc once i beat the story the games no fun anymore.I know why some people don't like MH because its too hard for THEM.

In MH you fight monsters like an normal human(except that you can carry super very heavy weapons) and just because of that the fights and experience feels amazing.

I said that the feel in Monster Hunter while you re fighting is so much better because the character youre using is completely human. everything the character does is not out of the extraordinary. thats why you actually feel that you re killing a Big ass monster with your own capabilities.
the only thing unrealistic in your character is that you carry "super very heavy weapons"and armors.
Look at This gameplay,they carry big weapons but they just dont care,they go and swing it like "lol my roflknife goes slice slice slice". it doesnt really feel how heavy it is because of that.
In monster hunter when the character carries a Buster sword,you could feel how heavy that sword is.when you carry that sword you feel like "damn,just wait till this reaches your neck"

@JunDageki Did u not see the intro to this game? Your character puts his arm in a machine and becomes one with his Sword, making it almost as light as a feather, you can say his Soul wave linked with the weapon's. In monster hunter there is no relationship like that.

Fantasy, but more realistic. So, of course in MH you would be swinging it slowly, while in this, you go "HAHASUPERSAIYANSPEED WITH MAH SWORD OF DDOOOMM!!" Since this is anime, which means most human physics do not apply. Take Kingdom Hearts for example. Sora use a giant blunt key to slice a skyscraper in half.

Don't get me wrong but the game really looks epic and I am really interested in it, heck I think Bamco might actually be getting back into it. But what is worrying me is how much variety will this game have to offer in enemies and stages?
Not really Monster Hunter. People keep saying it, but the only thing that remotely resembles MH is the same things that make MH resemble Phantasy Star.. And .Hack was just based off Phantasy Star Online's model + a fancy random dungeon function.
Monster Hunter isn't known for using Circle, Triangle, and the Right trigger for combat controls, it's known for fighting giant bosses with patterns you have to learn, along with multiple parts on each monster to chop off tails and screw up the face, it's famous for being a game that would be crippled with lock-on.

MH style or not...this game is awesome who cares if it looks like MH, what matters is the gameplay and the story line.. so SHUT THE HELL UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!XD (btw i like the anime based characters...thats another reason why i like this game... i love games that let you create your own character... e.g phantasy star portable...)

Nah. Monster Hunter is just way too slow and has no storyline, unlike God Eater that actually lets you attack while you jump and has a storyline.

Monster hunter proves that it doesnt needs story(thank god it doesnt has story). since it lacks story,it gives a lot of fun,and hours,days,months of gameplay.
also,the fact that you fight like an anime character makes the monsters not that intimidating.(and it also looks easy)
In MH you fight monsters like an normal human(except that you can carry super very heavy weapons) and just because of that the fights and experience feels amazing.

also read as : boring. I'm sorry, I didn't like Monster Hunter. I was all for it the first few hours, but like, after a while, it just got too tedious and boring. This was the PS2 version, and it was forever ago; I don't know, the multiplayer PSP ones might seem funner, and the character creation surely was good, but it just wasn't thrilling enough. God Eater seems like it might be more fun, atleast while it lasts. ;<

MH2FU(psp)+4 friends=forever win.
this game is cool,probably i will enjoy it with my other 3 friends that has PSP...but like i said earlier,this game has a story which is an major defect IMO.i will enjoy it with my friends until we finish it,it might have like 2 or 3 days...after that..we go back to Monster Hunter =D....

And you can't carry heavy weapons in God Eater? RPG games are meant to be unrealistic dude. Do you think any games would be better if the actions are just lame? Hell no! Imagine Final Fantasy having non of those spells and combos and such... it wouldn't sell dude! Monster hunter even has those cats that cook and fight and dinosaurs to attack. But no they didn't add better attacks.
P.S Whats with your grammar? I'm guessing your very young because of that 'super very heavy weapons' crap.

I said that the feel in Monster Hunter while you re fighting is so much better because the character youre using is completely human. everything the character does is not out of the extraordinary. thats why you actually feel that you re killing a Big ass monster with your own capabilities.
the only thing unrealistic in your character is that you carry "super very heavy weapons"and armors.

Look at This gameplay,they carry big weapons but they just dont care,they go and swing it like "lol my roflknife goes slice slice slice". it doesnt really feel how heavy it is because of that.
In monster hunter when the character carries a Buster sword,you could feel how heavy that sword is.when you carry that sword you feel like "damn,just wait till this reaches your neck"
thats what im talking about. the experience that you are being a Human kicking a huge monsters ass.

Oh yeah,i will probably like this game a lot and play it with my friends since this is practically MH rip off just animeish and cheaper,so i wont have any problems playing this.
But moving more freely wont necessarily be the best thing on every games,or wont make it any better than what MH has done.
think how bad would MGS be if Snake could dash,double jump,and fly etc.
More freedom,but nothing better than how it should be.
Feels cool,but at the same time its retarded.

@JunDageki Did u not see the intro to this game? Your character puts his arm in a machine and becomes one with his Sword, making it almost as light as a feather, you can say his Soul wave linked with the weapon's. In monster hunter there is no relationship like that.

Im not dissing This game,played the JP version and i had fun with it.but if someones gonna put comparison between these two games,ill give the points to MH for being so much better in so many ways,giving a better and unique experience to the player.

@JunDageki The thing is though, this is more anime styled. Monster Hunter is more like, monsters replaced the animals back then, and then gave them armor and weapons to hunt. Fantasy, but more realistic. So, of course in MH you would be swinging it slowly, while in this, you go "HAHASUPERSAIYANSPEED WITH MAH SWORD OF DDOOOMM!!" Since this is anime, which means most human physics do not apply. Take Kingdom Hearts for example. Sora use a giant blunt key to slice a skyscraper in half.

@JunDageki Ah, okay. But look at it this way. In MH, which I'm not really a fan of so I might be wrong, the battles are slow but when you attack, it's thrilling like the way you say. In GE, the battles are so fast and stuff, so you gotta dodge, attack, and stay the fuck alive. Any wrong movement will get you killed, since the monsters move so fast and stuff. Isn't that also thrilling?

MH Battles are indeed fast(except for Giant Elder dragons)
i mean try out Hi/G-rank versions of Cougarex,Diablos or tigrex(in RAGE)
also MH is about tactic and patience
you cant just go apeshit on a monster because it could kill you on the spot
(and wheres the fun if every battle is over in 3-5 minutes <.<)
it also has a HUGE arsneal of Weapons armor and items to use
and many monstes can one-hit kill and you cant be revived after diying
so staying alive is a bigger deal in MH

Hopefully once this becomes a big hit Capcom will get their asses in gear and start making Monster Hunter better instead of just rehashing the same game and changing the weapons. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone and I, for one, will be enjoying this game once it comes out.

Not really Monster Hunter. People keep saying it, but the only thing that remotely resembles MH is the same things that make MH resemble Phantasy Star.. And .Hack was just based off Phantasy Star Online's model + a fancy random dungeon function.

Monster Hunter isn't known for using Circle, Triangle, and the Right trigger for combat controls, it's known for fighting giant bosses with patterns you have to learn, along with multiple parts on each monster to chop off tails and screw up the face, it's famous for being a game that would be crippled with lock-on.
