Wow lifting up a dead man in the church, In God's house! My house shall be called a house of prayer not of worship/holding services for a dead man. We are r not to hold tributs services of any sort for ppl of God. We R servants N nothing more. Who said it was okay? God did not.

I think that it's a sad day, when we can't Honor our forefathers. I truly believe that this was an anointed service and I wish I could have been in attendance to bear witness. If not for Bishop Mason's obedience we wouldn't be where we are right now. So I believe that we should give respect to this great man, because our young people needs to know who he is!!

Show me N the word where 1of the greatest/least leaders were given a service for their service 2God N man? It's not in the bible so it shouldn't be N the church holding great ceremony 4man N a temple is a pagan tradition. All through history u'll C this but it never happened in the word. Show it 2me where GOD was plzed w/ the honoring /uplifting of a man inside the house of GOD? God said not to do worship unto him as the pagans honour their gods but we do N so many ways WE R N TROUBLE!

On the same coin this was not for history sake but to understand God and his works no to glorify any man N the word God said he would not share his glory. Brother Mason sure is getting glory in God's house. It's the house of the lord ppl just BC our leaders slap their names on a building don't mean it's theirs. U've never C N in the word ppl lifting up/holding serv. 2honour 1another it's not N the word But Luke 17:7-10 has never been read in the church. N my 35 yrs of church never heard this!

How about honner to who honner is due. WE don,t give the dead or the living any glory for God is a gealous God. We thank God for Our founder who was obident to the call although Mason never seek for fame,praise or glory we honnor the man of God but only Jesus gets the highst praise.

PLz read that script from the top of the page Rom 13:1-7 this was about honoring Civil authority paying ur taxes honoring those in charge IE. respect/honor the King, police, Civil authority. A price paid a sum for something. don't cheat pay ur bills taxes owe no one.

(Read it in the amplified bible it explains it better) Look up the word "honor" in the Greek

Sis. we're never told by God 2be proud the word rebukes the proud. godly proud/pride is a lie made by our leaders/churches there's no place in the word that say it's ok. I've seen it in our churches, I hate it. Growing up in church it was said to be ok. No kind of pride/proud is acceptable in God's sight. We gotta stop saying this. Say it were true so we R 2have a godly proud/arrogance about us? Search the word it's not there, but we do N say anything like the world but slap God on it n it's ok.

I AM PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF THE CHURCHES OF GOD IN CHRIST!! I did see your "rebuke" of the word proud, but the context that this word is being used is not of vain glory, but it's knowing who you are and who's you are. And I am COGIC born and bread and though you may not be proud (and you're probably not even in our COGIC family) I will always stand up for who and who's I am.
