@straitjacket24 .. I have that DVD .. The Who was impressive that night .. Still, this is a very interesting rendition coming at it from a different mindset, don't ya think?!
@SouthCarolinaPicker i love covers (i find them as you say interesting) and love the who but i always find their versions to be better than the other's. especially live, they're so powerful and perfect.
Having said this, i think this version in particular is a bit dull (except maybe the acapella bit)... and I never particularly loved RD... :-O
@straitjacket24 .. I agree with you, my friend! It is almost insane to attempt a Who cover.. And live, they were unbeatable! Especially with Keith and John.. And Daltry's solo efforts have always left me disappointed, as well.. Never quite had the "fire" .. Still, he was perfect for The Who, aye!
Paddy Malone on the Ullien Pipes. Derek Bell, Matt Malloy, & the rest of the lads. Had Guinness woith them back stage @ The Orange County Perf arts center afte r the show back in '96 maybe it was. Great memories.
Jay Leno has always reminded me of raphy from a christmas story with the way he talks. I had JAY SO MUCH

What a pity Michelangelo didn't live to paint his face, and Franz Liszt to compose a rock aria for him...
