I think I am going to try and dig more nickel signals in 2010. I did find 3 war nickels and my favorite ring a 1974 class 10k ring digging nickel signals. Thanks for the vids!!!!! I just got surgery on my hand and got 3 pins put in. glad its winter because they told me 10 weeks to heal.

I put the copper and brass that I don't keep in a seperate bucket at the end of the year and my son takes it to the recycle yard, I throw the can and iron scraps away.

Nice job, LaDigger. Very enjoyable video. Winter snuck back into Ohio. It's been cold and spitting rain & snow the last few days here in Ohio. Windy as hell. It's supposed to warm back up into the 50's this weekend. So I'll be back out hunting then. In regard to settings, I read somewhere that lowering the gain to 8helps identify deeper coins by making the signals sound fainter. Is that why you run yours at 7 or 8? Thanks, Dan

Rain and snow , darn. On the Explorer II gain above 7 will not only enhance targets but will also enhance emi and false signals. I had to leave a spot next to a tower Sunday due to emi , but I had forgot my gain. Was on 8. I could have adjusted settings but I was tired and left. Try making small figure 8 over target when pinpointing,see in my videos that's how I shrink my targets. Thanks Dan, HH LaDigger

Yes, your pinpointing is dead on and you don't even use the pinpoint mode! Your holes are much smaller than mine and the coins are right in the middle. These Minelabs are different. I'll get it. Thanks for showing how you pinpoint.
