Most of the process was just extrusions and constraints. It's easier if you make every piece separately, then add them to the base model, like I did in this video.

I learned to construct these models in a 12 week class. It's just like anything else, you practice at making simple things and soon it gets easy enough to make something like this.

I used this free screen recorder called "Bulent's Screen Recorder". It leaves a tiny watermark on your recording but the quality is great and there's a lot you can do with it.

You can find some other great 3D modeling programs for free on the internet. They aren't as articulate as Pro/Desktop, but are just as functional.

Hey mate great work but can i ask one question .. cud you say me whats the command to do the object you added to be in line with the part to that you want to connect it .. or even if yu can give me the video on normal speed so i can find out alone ;)

It's a right-click command called "center axes".

To perform this command you must have two objects with same-size cylindrical connectors. When you have added the component, shift-click on each wall (faces) of what you want to connect. Then right-click and hit "center axes".
