  • In those times drives could almost collect some vegetables after a crash, given the amount of "bush" around them! Incredible.

  • it's incredible how security in circuits was soo low in those times....

  • @gianduz Yeah... too low =( lol Gilles on 3 wheels.

btw of course security was low just see how many deads xD.

Bel Video (if you are italian)

  • Tufty would not have crossed the road there!

  • That Chassis A2/1 sits about 30 ft from my desk at work.

  • is that Gilles at the beginning of the vid?

  • Yes, just as he was starting his famous 3 wheeled lap.

  • what was that catch fencing designed to do exactly"? besides decapitating drivers

  • @pvtdangles Go do some researching before coment stupid things, at that time it was a security barrier to slow down car before it hits tha walls, and no to decaptitae anyone, it never happend!

  • @sinubiochex lol eat my big titties

  • was he trying to round the outside of tarzan in an arrows? past that bloody brabham fan car?

    lunatic!!!

  • @fatboy69s The Fan Car was only used at Anderstorp before it was banned, I think.

  • @TheKardiacKid Lauda won the race with more than 30 seconds. You are right, it was banned after that race, having completed only one GP.

  • Thank god catch fencing has gone!!!

  • it is an eternal miracle that drivers walk away after a crash not thinking the next driver might fuck up the same way and mow him down.

  • It was indeed Patrese, not Hunt he was starting in Wolf, but withdrew up to this point in the season.

  • wtf with th sound effects

  • it wasn't patrese, it was james (s)hunt R.I.P. both

  • Hu?? Patrese isnt dead

  • I was referring to DnylF1's comment! He said "killer of Peterson" and both, Peterson and Hunt, are dead.

  • nice arse.

  • all'inizio del video si vede una 312 t4 a 3 ruote..... e chi poteva essere'???

  • the speaker says "brakes-broken at Petrese car"

  • Look where the people are standing !

  • he says: "brake problem"

  • shocking. what is da idea of the poles and the fencing. r dey meant to stop a car. Then when Patrese crosses the road, there is people talking to him about 2 feet from the track. Scary shit

  • Catch fencing was the normal means of slowing errant cars back then. Before that it was straw bales or nothing! It was also normal for photographers and officials to stand on the inside of slow corners.

  • your 100% right its scary shit indeed lol

  • The first frames show a certain Gilles on 3 wheels ...

  • looks like his suspension failed, his inside front wheel is all askew before he goes off?

  • Surprised he was allowed to run across the track like that!

  • That was safety overall standard in those years...

  • that turn is called tarzan . most drivers make their mistakes there

  • Wow that is fantastic footage, safety sure was a different matter in those days...

  • Is the frame rate right? Looks slightly too fast to me.

  • that arrows had some pathetic steering
