He put Crazy Cups into Speed Stacks, which makes the Crazy Cups stick to the Speed Stacks because of the size difference. The actual way of doing ultra stacking is to do it with Speed Stacks ONLY, that means NO sticking and NO gluing. That's the actual skill in ultra stacking.

Besides, his 1.96 3-6-3 was a stuff up, but that's old news.
