@HopllyteAlpha - The answer is that they didn't know such things. The only planets they knew of are the ones that can be seen with the naked eye, because they didn't even have the most primitive telescopes.

No planet can have a 3600 year orbit (contradicts basic celestial mechanics) since it would be so far outside of the Solar system that it would beyond the Sun's gravitational pull.
