  • Whenever he shows any kind o emotion, you can feel it is real. He was so happy when he found that little shrimp, you could see it was real, un;ike that bear guy.

  • at 7:40 does he say one of the crew members woke up? i thought there were no crew members!!

  • @batzaoe yeah he does.... what crew? the next survivor crew?

  • @batzaoe the crew is in the village there is no crew with him when hes out. one of the crew members were filming his foot when they were treating him.

  • did any1 see the huge spider web behind les at 2:00?

  • @shadowex6999 there leaves dude, it really does look like a web though

  • imagine if he was mauled by the jaguar and it was caught on tape. that'd be pretty epic...but tragic.

  • lol lost BOTH his eyes

  • shouldv taken his machette also, and prob stayed in the hut. preparation like he did in africa wouldv sorted him out better, setting up a defense of sharpened pickets stuck out at an angle across the front of the hut doorway.

  • Big cats are one of the coolest things on earth =P

  • bear and Les are good guys i think they do a good job

  • he should have built his sleeping quarters high in the trees, cooked everything before eating it, set traps to catch small animals and not waited days before deciding to eat. He also should have researched all the edible plants before setting out on this adventure... there are many natural remedies/plants in the jungle to cure his wounds and repel insects. He should never have made camp where he did... I think everything he did was in bad judgment.

  • @bragladish i would agree with the bad judgements, alot of it was silly. But, at the same time, alot of what this guy does, or claims to do, is try to create a scenario in which someone really does get lost in the wild. He didnt research the amazon because he was trying to create this scenario, so it still took alot to do what he did.

  • this guy doesn't know what he's doing... lol. he has a machete, canoe, blow gun, guides that got him in a hut and a trail from his hut to a village... he waits days before eating, keeps his footwear on until he gets trench foot, drinks the river water, eats fresh water shrimp, that both have lots of parasites in them... this isn't how to survive in the Amazon, this is just stupid bullshit.

  • @bragladish im not trying to provoke anything, im really curious what you would do. This stuff is really interesting to me

  • everyone is always comparing bear grills and les stroud.. i say les is the best all the way. bear tells you to drink your pee to keep from dehydrating... LOL wrong information dude...pee is a body's waste, that the body doesnt need anymore.... why drink it back into your system.. bear grills eats anything and does tricks...to entertain, les stroud is surviving.. if i were stuck in the wilderness i would rather have les stroud then bear grills

  • I totally agree, Bear could learn a lot from Les, not least how to carry himself like a human being, instead of that gung ho cabotine acting he does.

  • not too mention also...someone should tell bear that when your dehydrated you don't pee.. its kind of a oxymoron!!!

  • @betterdayzzz82 your a moron, without the oxy(gen). in the early stages, or if you expect to xp dehyd (such as in sits where water is scarce) you can save your EARLY urine, let it settle and drink the top portion if desperate

  • thanks ive watched all parts just missed that 1 from when it was on

  • Really enjoyed that, thanks Stench. Haven't seen this bloke before. He shows survival situations true to life; rarely going smoothly to plan but persevering and getting by in the end through strong will, determination and a sense of humour.

  • thanks for putting this up stench. I love les stroud, he's the real deal

  • That laughing tribesman looks exactly like that actor who plays machete.

  • dredlegs. A jaguar is bigger than a leopard, which is known to be a man eater and 3rd largest of all cats...i´d like to see how you would react in a dark jungle if you met one.

  • guy lost his both eyes lol. never learn from first lesson(2.05)

  • saw pussy cat, ran away, bear would have kicked its ass

  • Survivorman reminds me of Wile Coyote. They both come up with genious traps but none of them work.

  • thats fukin awesome

  • well for a suvival guy the idiot should dry his boots and soxks with his magic fire....

  • PRIMAL FEAR!

  • notice the fact that he says "out" as a scottish or irish person :P

  • canada.

  • This guy really survives in lion infested territory? Luck tis all.

  • What...? This has nothing to do with lions.

  • The tribes mentioned are further in deeper territory

  • that tribe was the one that BROUGHT him to that spot and he does have a tripod and a stick tied to the camera to look like a crew is with him. And plus what would u do if you saw a jaguar wanting to eat you? So piss off and flame another video willya?

  • he went back to the tribe that took him deeper into the jungle, it was the place he intended to end up at the end wich is why his crew was there, also it was a jaguar not a cougar, and you'd have left too if one was stalking you, if you could even move lol.

  • i lov this, r there anymore eps on here?

  • SEVERAL!

    Great show, huh?

  • Bear Grylls rules i did enjoy survivorman but he basically stays in the same part of the forest where bear starts his trip in the andes and follows the river for a while to find people

  • Bear has camera crews with him, may as well be setup to all hell. He also doesn't try to survive, he just tries to find a way out of it. That plus he's an annoying bastard with no respect for anything but himself.

  • i survived in the amazon jungle for a year big woopdidoo

  • Yeah!!!

  • how bout with no food by urself?

  • i ate beaver every night so i wouldn't know

  • jaguar.. screen shot or it didnt happen.

  • This show always make me real hungry when i watch it :P

  • same here

i wish i had soem of that lemon-tomato fruit, he made it sound way too good

  • its so true when he eats stuffs it look so delicious even if im eating pizza :p

  • "One man actually lost both eyes, because he did it again on another occasion" ROFL!

  • It was 250 pounds, but either way, that's a big cat!

Les is better than Bear, hands down.

  • agreed!

  • lol in what way is he better? bear kills and eats pretty much anything he sees, and he knows what he can eat and what he cant. this guy doesn't know anything, he has to go hungry. Hes just like a normal guy with no training so how is he better?

  • @element1988 You just answered your own question. Grylls show how to LIVE in hostile environment, rather than survive. Stroud shows everything not from a perspective of any kind of commando or special forces. No. He just shows how to survive long enough to get help.

Anyway: most of peoples would not handle even 3 days in the jungle, he menaged to survive several more.

  • @element1988

    (continue)

    @element1988

    (continue)

Besides, its hard to tell what is poisonous and what is not. Grylls have a team to call for help if shit happens. Stroud has nobody, so he just does not take the risk. Seems reasonable, that is exactly what regular guy would do in case of get into situation like this

  • well stroud survives fo 7 dayse bear for 5. Bear has a camera crew with him.Stroud is always alone and self shoots himself.

plus the point is bear shows you how to survive until help comes. Bears is just surviving. Stroud knows wat are chances worth taking and wat are not. Plus since u say this guy has no training he doesnt he just has a wide range of knowledge and guess wat he still survives 7 days wit no training.

  • I apologise for some of my earlier comments, I was biased towards bear. but i still think bear is a great survivalist and could survive on his own.

  • dude, i was in my friends woods camping, and we didnt have a fire, cause we were to high to keep one going, and i dont think i have ever been that scared, fucking shadows left and right of animals, sad thing is, we do have cougars , so i got lucky that day

  • I couldn't blame him either for being afraid of that jaguar , if I were in his position , maybe I have cried out for my life honestly

  • @baklitus never show ur scared... cuz if u run or yell it'll know that you know that it's stalking you... and it'll come after you.

  • LOVE THIS EPIDSODE!!

  • les actually does what he says he does. he lives in the wild and survives in the wild alone. Bear stays at hotels, has food, water and whatever else he needs provided by his film crew. search " man vs. hotel" on youtube to see exactly what bear grylls is all about.

  • What if we all just shut the hell up and watch the video and take this show as what it is? My second suggeestion: Book a flight and go experience it yourself ;)

  • i have a blowgun but a factory made one watch my vid on it

  • Les is my idol, just a comment about bear. I hand fish for catfish like he did on one of his episodes I dont remember which one but that was totally fake. Must of been nice to have a catfish on a stringer that was all worn out. Try doing that with neither.

  • bear grillz is a fuck i mean he has a camera man hes a whiner when he catches food and eats it he makes all these faces and pukes but survivor man loves it he studies it way more bear just wings it

  • Are bees edible?

  • les stroud is chuck norris`son!

  • i d be scared as shit!

  • Actually, he's surprisingly positive for someone who hasn't eaten or showered in days; and who has foot fungus and was being stalked by a hungry jaguar and pestered by annoying bugs. He's right; when you're alone in the wilderness, it's not always just like "oh, I'm going to go catch some catfish." But he realizes the hardships and accepts and faces them.

  • You are so right Kirk, I'm always amazed by how positive and rational Les is. I get extremely cranky when I go just a few hours without food because of my fast metabolism. Les can go days without food and disease ridden river water. If you read about explorers who went through the Amazon, the hardships they described is almost beyond torturous. Just the constant attack from insects alone will drive me mad.

  • hardships will make u positive and rational. its the only way to survive.

  • @KirkSpockAndBones thts because he has litterally live almost his whole life like this

  • awsome dude!

  • bear and les are both brave and very trained

bear shows you how to survive , but les actually survives

if you let them in jungle or alaska they will both know how to stay alive

  • arreco: you do realize bear grylls is a fake with a stuntman, film crew, food, water and stays in hotels between shoots and survivorman actually stays in the wild for 7 days alone?? dont believe me??? search bear grylls is a fake on youtube and find out yourself

  • type in man vs hotel on youtube and see how fearless bear grylls really is

  • maybe, but he shows you HOW to do it,

you ve seen him eating all those nasty things (elephant dung, larves, carcass, etc,)

bears program is about showing how to do it like ray mears.

    stop bitching about it man.

  • First of all, bear is a complete pussy and lives in a tent with his crew while shooting. Fearless my ass. You try surviving in the amazon for a week and see how much you cry.

  • you try and climb mount everest, if you make it then you have the right to call him a pussy

  • let me see if i got that on camera.. oh wait i did!! lol

  • So they're both cowards because they go and survive out in the wilderness for a show? Are you fucking stupid? Think about what you just said.

  • lol johnadams I need to convey the point I was trying to make a bit clearer. I was addressing the les vs bear crowd. there is this whole argument about which show is more authentic. personally I love both shows. yea I get a little knowledge, but mostly I am entertained. its just television. both shows are amazingly entertaining and put together very well.

  • les is a better filmmaker than bear. Bear is a better athlete than les. THey both spew the same info that 90% of their respected audiences will never use in their lifetime. so who is the better survivalist? Can you really measure that with a couple of tv shows? Did I mention these are both tv shows? I understand you all want your reality tv to be the most realist in the most real way,but come on. its just television.

  • Yeah, they may be show hosts. But do you really think you could escape a jaguar in the middle of the jungle without any guns or proper equipment.

also, saying that you never will have to survive is stupid, you can't see the future so shut up.

for all we know tomorrow could be the end of the world, does that mean we need to be paranoid survivalists? no, but it does help to know a few basic things to help in those kinds of situations.

  • his crew was in the village. His crew is never so far away that they cant help him if he gets into a brutal situation. unlike bear who has 8 guys following him all the time telling him what to do, what angle to do it at, what to say etc etc. Poor les, covered in bugs and stalked by a jaguar. rough week. :(

  • please get off his lap, bear wouldnt wet him self over it.. he faces death on a regular basis, les has crew they just arent as close as bears. les pulls out when he gets scared/ worried about the risk.. bear can never get enough risk.

  • bullshit bear sleeps in hotels whereas les is alone for a whole week

  • Dumb ass, hes show isnt about sleeping in the bush for 7 days, thats why people hate on bear, but those haters are all ignorant fools who dont realise his show is not about sleeping alone on the ground. Idiots need to learn that. If he wanted to, Im sure bear could live for months by him self any where he wanted to and easily survive.

  • Thats the problem, they mislead ppl into thinking its just him and one camera guy surviving alone for nights when its clearly not. Its misleading b/c in some clips hes out in the night pretending to be cold in a shelter. thats y ppl get mad, i know its about teaching survival and not actually survivng for him but ppl get angy when u mislead

  • In a way yes it can be, but at the start of each episode your told that certain situations are made up to present bear so he can show what to do about it, is why he does alot of things like jump into ice rivers etc to risk his life to show how to survive IF it happend. Some times he will go without food & sleep on his own, others he might not. I still prefer him out of any other tv survivalist as I think he holds the best overall skills with everything he does. But les does have good knowledge.

  • @Armada3lite Original is always the BEST ~!! wanna be is never good enough. LOL

  • Really? He crapped his pants? lmao

  • that is some scary ass shit

  • ew nhe would eat a monkey, that would be wierd

  • 6:55

He kinda looks like Danny Trejo :P

  • Nope.

Les was left alone in the jungle, but the crew vaited for him in the village. You know, the same people who filmed him on the way into the jungle.

  • not even that. he also has a translator with him. you kno les dont speak spanish =]

  • Not even that. Guaraní don't speak Spanish. They speak Guaraní.

  • someone doesnt pay attention to detail.

How many times did he say that it was the safety crew waiting for him back at the village? and it was one of the safety crew who woke up and said that he heard the cat.

    drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

get back on the short bus.

  • (insert low growl sound effect here)

  • wow...intense.

Even though he didnt travel very far from camp and had a pretty nice shelter, it was still not easy

  • So You`ll only survive in the jungle if you have: Fishing line, soda can, pocket knife,1 match, machete, canoe, misquito net, dart gun ....?

  • Survivorman season 3

11-7-2008 people! just saw the commercial this morning

  • Haha, no, Les Stroud does not plan things like that, that would be Bear Grylls you're thinking of!

  • When he's talking about like all the spieces in the jungle and stuff to the right of him is this amazing looking tree! I think it loooks similar to a spider web XD but anyways this is probably my favorite episode!

  • 4:50-:53, 5:18 he looked back, 7:46-7:53!!

props to Les for living from a jaguar xD

bought both the seasons! can't wait for season 3!

  • awesome!

    thanks again!

    encore! are you uploading more?

  • a few weeks because I entered my 11th grade in high school and its going to be hard since my time online is cut by 80%. but i will answer your demands ASAP. but in the meanwhile enjoy the Amazon. and Ill be closing this account soon.

my new account will be named

    "TheFragrance1992"

  • thanks for the heads up.

    i really enjoyed this one.

    good luck with your studies.

  • Wow, this episode made the Canadian Arctic episode look like a leisurely vacation.

  • If that was me I would have ran back to the campsite that i was sleeping in because its closer but that would have been bad the jaguar would have easyly broken trought the wood but I have to wonder 30 pound jaguar cant break a leaf barriar made by indians in the amazon?

  • but the thing is there were many people in the tent which make sure that the jaguar will never attack him.

But that was awesome, what an experience.

  • Maybe it was good that he went out for that pee.....otherwise he could have fell asleep unaware of the jaguar's presence....and who knows what the jaguar could have done if he slept it off!

  • you know the scary part is you can actually hear the Jaguar growl right behind him, If I was Les I would run my ass as fast as I can outa there.

  • your totally right man

  • yeah I doubt it was a sound effect inserted to create drama. ooh scary
