All all-breed judge once commented that "when it comes to precision obedience the only thing that beats a good Doberman is another good Doberman." This dog's amazingly precise responses to voice commands demonstrates how true it is. Having owned Dobermans and several other dog breeds, I consider the Doberman to be the easiest dog to train and they have an unparalleled protective instinct toward their human companions.
I'm a huge fan of this dog. He has amazing levels of prey drive and has lightning quick athleticism (his flip finishes are among the fastest I have ever seen). He is incredible. Nice job, nice video.
Very impressive, but the trouble with this type of attack training is that the dog becomes "sleeve happy." The target can have a weapon in the other hand and if he feeds a fat sleeve to the dog, that's what the dog is trained to go for. Targets should be dressed with padding that looks uniform over the body and the dogs should be trained to attack whatever hand/arm is holding a weapon. That makes for an effective guard dog. And, if possible, train them to go for the face, throat or groin also.
Hi :-) you have a truth of course. We are doing the ring bite work too but Cito is trained as a sport dog for IPO. Believe me.Try to do smth bad to his owner and you´ll have a shit in your pants everytime in the meeting of some dog reflexivly. Ludek
Yes, he's a serious attack dog, no doubt about that. A really magnificent animal. Dobermans are my favorite breed and I still think they make the best natural guard dog in the world. I suspect that anyone threatening Citto's master is going to get hurt very badly.
