anyone have trouble with proto babil? i beat gerion(not sure of spelling) so many times to get gil for sirens to fight red dragons till i got to level 99 for everyone. but that CHEAP ASS IS SO ANNOYING i did cry darkness adrenaline 3xfocus jump with kain to do 99999 damage on it about 3 times, then he decieds to do divine judgement 3 TIMES IN A ROW WITH EVERYONES PHOENIX WEARING OFF -.- and i died with him having SO LITTLE HP LEFT ZOMG

Did pitiful damage, but still got rid of the barrier faster than any of Tellah's spells in this version.

A good strategy for a final fantasy game is that the healer should have enough expierence and mp to heal a big part of the party every turn. When someone dies, make sure that someone other then the healer can revive or has a phoenix down, so the healer can still heal the party every turn. This works in almost all rpgs..

Fail. First Yang's attack 'kick' is for multiple enemies and you don't use it on single or even multiple enemies ever. Secondly not getting the twins their 3rd level black magic spells for this fight makes it a lot harder than it has to be.

the king has been controlling everybody in the castle, Kainazzo killed the king and took his place, then asked cecil to take the red wing squad to mysidia and make a raid for mysidia's crystal of water. Plus they took some white and black sages and madges as prisoners. then came back to baron and gave the crystal of water to the fake king. then the fake king gave the crystal of water to master golbez!

Why is he using Thunder attacks so much? His weakness to Thunder only applies when he's prepping Tsunami. Otherwise, you should use Blizzard/Blizzara/Blizzaga. If you're worried about Tsunami, then you can just use some of the several Zeus's Wraths you should have by now from completing maps when he gets water surging. One of these from any character will do.

I've always wondered why the spell was called "Thunder" in all subsequent Square-Enix games. Technically, thunder is the sound we hear, not an image. These spells should be called Bolt, Bolta and Boltaga (actually, in the translated FF2 version, wasn't it Bolt1, Bolt2 and Bolt3?)

If you have Tellah "use" the item Thunder Rod, when its equipped to him, he'll use a no magic thunder attack, which destroys his water barrier. Just discovered this today.

any third level spell against anyone with that elemental weakness pretty much did 9999. FFII US for the snes was incredibly easy. and they just kept getting harder after that.

yes. the snes FF2 was the second easiest version of the all the versions. the easiest one being "Final Fantasy IV: easytype" with Zeromus looking like Zeromus EG at the end of the GBA one. just the sprite though not his actual power level. the GBA one is about as hard as the original and the DS version is, by all means to any gamer who's played FF2/4....difficult.

Maybe it's because I'm really good at think of strategies while fighting bosses, when the water was rising on Cagnazzo I instantly knew that I would have to use lighting since lighting is always best against water.
