  • It's funny to think that this comedy is about the triumph of love and romance. And Jaques is the non romantic. (Clearly the opposite of the romantic Rosalind.)

    AND YET, this most famous passage in the play (the 7 stages of man) beloings to Jaques.

    Is Shakespeare perhaps saying that because Jaques is void of romantic feelings that he has more intelligence? He may not be the hero, but he is by far the most interesting character in the story.
