  • ACORN definitely has some corrupt branches (it has notoriously poor management and centralization) the demonization of it is ridiculous. It's literally being blamed for everything. That's not hyperbole, I've heard it blamed for everything. The recession, abortion, terrorism, any election not in Republican favor (including in places where ACORN has no presence) and pretty much anything else Republicans can think of. Its size, influence, and actions are usually distorted too.

  • Mr.Nadler says it is up to the individual states to investigate. This means he is not willing to open up a can of worms.Typical political response.

  • Nadler didn't defend ACORN.He said it was up to local authorities to investigate and prosecute corruption.

  • Nadler doesn't just appear to be full of shit. He is full of shit. As for Mr. King...thank you.

  • I was investigating ACORN ten years ago...and my report at that time stated they were a criminal syndicate organized in a similar fashion to the east coast mob families. They were money-laundering through hundreds of sub-organizations way back then.

  • When has it been a law that the government has to fund stuff.

  • I guess Congress also had no "right" or "function" with which to investigate Union Corruption, Organized Crime or Individuals accused of Communist affiliations (private individuals) via the House Un-American Activities Committee. Nadler is full of crap and he knows it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a rightwinger either, I think all politicians are parasites. They invent nothing, sell nothing make nothing but laws designed to separate you from your money so they can spread it around to their buddies

  • ACORN, which receives millions in federal dollars for voter registration, cannot legally support one party. However, internal documents show ACORN targeted state legislative districts in 2007 and 2008, leading up to the presidential election.--Oklahoma Watchdog

Accorn broke the law, and probably more than one. It's clear Rep Nadler knows this and chooses to protect the criminal. Hopefully his days as a US Rep are numbered. If the people in his district are honorable and just they will be.

  • Please remember that ACORN is only one of the corrupt organizations 0bama is using to destroy America! Look at all the other Radicals he is surrounding himself with to destroy Family, Freedom, & Religion.

  • ACORN does matter, to much corruption, to many connections to the White House and Congress. I as a citizen I would like to know what role they played and who benefited from ACORN. Is that too much to ask?

  • Liberals would defend terrorists and copkillers...Oh wait, they already do.

  • This ACORN issue is like the chicken/egg conundrum. Who corrupted who? Did ACORN corrupt the democRAT congress, or did the democRAT congress corrupt ACORN.

Regardless, the American people need justice, and the democRAT congress/Senate and ACORN need long jail terms.

  • I congratulate Congressman Steve King for his continued addressing of the issues associated with the ACORN organization.

Keep on taking a strong stance for America and the good people of this country!

  • Acorn is a bigger threat to free elections than the Taliban. Thanks Mr. King.
