  • You spelled it 100% correctly :)

  • ah cool :D

  • He looks like my English Teacher....

  • hes awesome,

  • cowsquid: He really is.

  • Spartacus

  • simply.amazing.

  • what tool is he using to make the scratches?

  • Jesus!!! could i be more of an idiot, it's in the title

  • anywhere we can downlad this in slower version?

  • So let me get this right....you cant animate a zbrush model ( I have 3ds max9) but the poly count seems like it'd be HUGE...so how do u animate w Z brush then? Does it compress or collapse the poly count for animation purposes? L brush is pretty sweet, actually..same sculpting ability from what I see but its animate `able.

  • basically, when you're done with your object, you set your subdivision level back to the lowest, and you can save out deformation maps/bump maps/color/normal etc etc, then you can animate on the lower polycount subD object, and on rendertime, apply the deformation map, and crank your subdiv level. I use lightwave, so my terminology might not be the same as yours, but that's the main idea...it works really well.

  • A Zbrush model is like any other model, you can do whatever you want with it. If you've racked up millions of polys, you want to bake the high detail levels into a normal map or displacement map or something to keep your computer from exploding, of course.

  • You only sculpt ultra high rez in zbrush.

You then go down to your lowest subdiv level (aroumnd 3,000-5,000 polys) and export that out as "newlow.obj"

In Zbrush you also export a displacement map.

Then you import the newlow.obj into maya or 3dmax and put the displacement map on it to make it look like it did in zbrush.

This is how video games look so great like

    Gears of war.

They use Normal maps exported in the same way.

  • I can do the same with clay .... but a lot faster :)

  • any tutorial for newest on zbrush? XD

  • may i ask whats the purpose of making zbrush models or creatures because they dont animate. do they. and i was also wondering can you import the 3d models into real video footage like camcorder recordings

  • You can import them to 3dmax...

  • why would you want to animate? if it's for a video you can export it to 3d modelling apps, but you can just leave it as a still, digital sculpture just because it looks pretty

  • Or XSI... (As I prefer) :P

  • Zbrush is mainly used to detail models made in Maya or 3ds max

  • You an import your max models and then detail them. Thats the main purpose. Otherwise its really just for stills i believe.

  • Hey this is realy good work you have there mate!

  • I've heard of cleft chins, but that's the first time I've seen an asshole chin, lol.
