I have the 228 deep dish. You have to tone down the treble. What might sound tinny by itself actually sounds pretty cool when it breaks through the mix. It gives more space for the male vocalist which is pretty cool.

@backstreetrascal no not at all .. It sounds bright .. so the sound isn't deep because it's a very thin guitar .. and if u ever had an electric guitar , u'll love this guitar because it has the same feel of an electric guitar . and it's a very comfortable guitar .. btw I have the FIGURED MAHOGANY colour .. it looks alot more alive than the natural colour .. but you have to understand that's it's not for everyone because alot of people don't like the bright sound .. u should try it first :)..
