Rocklin had an amazing team and plays in one of the toughest NorCal leagues; but they are hardly a powerhouse in the region: more of a solid program on the rise the last few years.
Servite is an elite private school that has sent multiple players to the NFL and other professional sports—I would hardly call them scrappy. I guess just disagree with the descrption of making Servite seem like an underdog. Great game, nice editing.
With Rocklin's Boise St.-bound quarterback out with an injury, they still played Servite down to a field goal for the victory. I think it would have been a big Rocklin win with Jimmy Laughrea on the field.
Private schools need their own league. How can you explain Dela Sal playing crenshaw. A private school with like 20 paid coaches verses a team that has 1 paided coach. A school with the top of the line equipment plays a team in such a poor area that the kids on the team need donations to not only maintain the program but to even get equipment. A poor private school is nothing compared to a poor public school.
ok and the fact that private schools can recruit thats why they have a good team every year while public schools have to wait to have a talented class so private schools have a advantage every year fuck that 600 people bullshit dude they are recruitng all over california and hey the fact rocklin didnt have there starting quarterback for the state game and they almost won to the 2nd ranked team in the nation is pretty amazing so just imagine if we had our starting quarterback
Private schools should have their own division. It is ridiculous to say that Servite is division 2 for football when they have twice as many males as any other public school division school team, because they are an all boys school. Now throw in the fact Private schools can basically recuit. Its embarrassing that Servite almost lost to a public school that didnt even have their starting quarterback (who is going to Bosie State). Give rocklin their qb back and Servite Ioses.
@smpolaske Rockland left the field wiith their heads high, they gave as good as they recieved. A great team. What needs to happen is to relax the CIF transfer rules so the rich public schools can compete with poor small private schools. (Servite has only 600 students). Good players in a football weak school would rather go to a public school that has a good team rather than the cost of going to an expensive private school.
@res05aum They would rather go to a public school? why don't they. If you are attending an expensive privite school, odds are money is not a problem for you and your family. Plus if you want to be a on a good football team anyways, who chooses that sucky school. rich players that attend privite schools go to private schools that already have good programs. Poor althetes meanwhile are stuck at the public school in their area and are at the mercy of the luck of the draw when it comes to talent
This was the best game ever. From the fist kickoff to the last second (literally the last second) your heart was pounding to the action. Thanks for the video.
