Of course their kid will pick up their vocabulary, even though he got an IQ of 145. Show me one reliable source proving that everyone swearing has a low/normal IQ. You can't - it's a ridiculous thing to say.

I dunno, I would agree that a capitilistic society would work in a world where everyone played the game fairly but people cheat and are greedy, and more than often the poor people get the bad end of the stick and they do need government help in order to compete with the big moneybags.

The whole concept of capitalism operates under the assumption that people are greedy. socialism operates on the premise that they are selfless.

Cheating, on the other hand, can only be done through government. How about the auto bankruptcies? Those assets are going to the unions instead of their creditors. What about the virtually interest free loans the Fed made to big corporations and big banks that precipitated the crisis. Socialism is crony capitalism on a much larger scale.

I do disagree. I think a welfare state is a good idea. If everyone was unselfish and treated everyone else like family, then sure freemarket economy. But until then we need a system that can help everyone in need.

McCain claimed he would veto any pork if he was elected but then he led the troops in adding 150 billion more pork to get that 700 billion bailout approved, which clinched his fate as a loser in this election.
