Does anyone else agree that despite this EPIC scene and Gary Oldman's scenes, the stupid fucking tropical theme that plays throughout the movie just totaly ruins the mood of certain scenes. Don't get me wrong - great movie still - I Just think it could have done without so much of that stupid tropical theme. Music can make or break the vibe, and that tropical theme just a couple parts for me.

It means that there is a high infant mortality rate that counteracts the elderly rate. So, one person living to 80 and one person dying at birth, will give you a life expectancy of 40. The U.S. had a much lower life expectancy too until we lowered the infant mortality rate.

We don't subsize a lof of crops that are healthy, but we subsidize SUGAR and CORN. We have so much corn that we feed cows corn and that it having a huge impact on them. I suggest you watch the movie, Food Inc. We subsize sugar and then flood Mexico with cheap sugar driving out their farmers and causing them to come here to America looking for work. Get a clue.

This country was starting to go in the right direction in the 1940s/50s, but blacks were being excluded from it. Some people tried to rectify this, and those who benefited the most (and didn't complain about the exclusion of blacks) were willing to give it all away (hurting blacks again as well as themselves). And, that in a nutshell, is the reason for the death of the middle class. Congratulations.
