I just watched the show on MeTV and heard this theme. I knew it was Stephanie Mills' voice and had to look up the song on YT. Though I really like Billy Joel's theme, this is is really good, too. :D

Tom Hanks must have been only about 24 or so in this? It was the first time I'd ever seen him, although at age 6, I didn't recognise that it was Tom at first. He's certainly come a long way in his career since then.

first season used Billy Joel's "My Life" as the theme, not this crappy tune.

ah but the instrumental version of this crappy tune is used in the end credits!!!

This version entitled "Shake Me Loose" is by Stephanie Mills. If you listen to the scores throughout the actual show and closing credits, instrumentals are similiar to this theme we hear. The instrumental is placed at the closing of the show with the aid of a keyboard and saxaphone. Stephanie Mills' version was used when the show aired on USA Network and when the videos were realeased years ago. I am wondering this version was used originally and then changed at the last minute? I like it.
