I think it was her successor, Patricia Dunn, who hired investigators to find the source of an internal leak, and things got ugly from there. Fiorina orchestrated the merger (acquisition?) w/ Compaq, resulting in HP stock taking about a 50% hit. What I best remember about Fiorina@HP is that she gave HP stock a 7% jump in one day - by resigning.
