Original DS had Mario 64 so it could run Ocarina of Time as well but it would have been in it's original blocky N64 format instead of the Gamecube graphics engine that the 3DS used.

That is incorrect... The DS is able to have a game like Zelda had Nintendo ported it, look at Mario 64 DS apart from a blocky visual which the DS games are, the DS version does have more detail.

A N64 and DS are technically simular.... but your talking about running the N64 Rom on a DS which means Emulation....

SSF2 on Snes is better than SMD version but SNES hardware would not be able to emulate Sega MD roms.....
