I remember when this movie was on the theaters, that a journalist here in Peru, criticized the movie, because, he said it was a extreme satanization of drug effects" ha ha, i would call it a master piece portrait of how human beings can go downwards, to the very bottom, with no hope and no redemption, the kind of story that Hollywood mainstream never wants to tell, and it is happening right now.
@pvpbeast: nothing of both, about heroin and tablets as a food substitute, so to the decreasing of weigh, which have, with lasting use, similar side effects like speed..

doing a couple lines at a party or taking an X tab every now and then won't automatically turn u into a homeless person on the street forced to suck dick for hits. people over sensationalize the effects of drug use. IF u practice moderation drugs can just be a fun addition to your saturday night. it doesn't always have to be so deep. that being said, i thought this movie was awesome just kind of over exaggerated. not saying it can't end it tragedy, just saying it doesn't ALWAYS end in tragedy.

I think it might be after she has sex with the other one, but maybe its when she gives head to the "black man" as you said. It's just expressing her pain at having given in to her addiction and the suffering she goes through.

I wish he would go into detail about his reason for choosing to do this film. And right after this, him and his brother started doing those dumb-ass "Scary Movie" flicks...I don't get it. But he was great in this movie.

It basically deals with how addiction can destroy someone's life. All the main characters are destroyed in one way or another. It starts out slow, but gets very intense at the end. If you insist on watching it, prepare to be traumatized.
@Eatmybologna 50 percent of men who got testicular cancer were heavy marijuana smokers, it was a study. it can also open up mental illness. Caffeine can cause many heart conditions. Mushrooms don't cause any damage. All drugs damage you, if you use them you will swear they dont for the life of you. Drugs is a loose term because every drug is so very very different.

Taking anything in heavy doses is bad for you. Anything. You can OD on water. Drinking too much too fast will cause you to drown.
Weed and mushrooms for example taken sparingly (mushrooms max twice a year imo) can have a huge benefit on your life.
