  • Whoa old guy can play!

  • I want a guitar that has a low setup for fast playing.Does this guitar can be set up low without having any noise from the frets? Thanks.

  • @sourceofflames with the flatter neck radius it is possible.

  • Love your videos, especially your Heavy Metal ones ;-) LOL Could you do a video of the new Gibson SG with the "Baked" rosewood fretboard? I'd love to see how it sounds compared to the 2011 Gibson SG with the Rosewood fretboard. They say it is supposed to sound like an Ebony board. Thank's.

  • is this guitar useful for heavy metal, hard rock, punk?? i want to buy this exact one..

  • @jujowillan This guitar is good for punk to hard rock. If you want to play some metal stuff you might want to swap out the bridge pickup with something a little hotter. The LP Studio faded is $749.00 at nstuffmusic but you have to call 412-828-1003

  • Absolutely, most classic rock guitar players used les pauls at some point in their careers. Everyone from Slash, Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend and Richie Sambora all used Les Pauls. This is a great guitar and we also have Epiphone and ESP Les Paul models in the same price range and even some a less expensive, there is also always our used guitar site too.

  • do you think this guitar can play some classic hard rock, like guns n roses scorpions bon jovi and this kind of stuff.if not is there any good guitar in an average price to buy?

  • @mizens97 yes... but you sound like a beginer. There are some greatly priced guitars you can buy: Epiphones are nice, parker PM20 are excellent (I own one and let me tell you: its amazing, but a little "jazzier") and mexican stratocasters

  • @mizens97 Of course it can! it's a les fackin' paul!

  • Just ordered mine today! Dude, you really know ow to demo a guitar! You don't overplay but you give us a nice plentiful sample of what it can do and explain features. I'm sure your store sells alot of those!

  • Thanks!, I already play it in a store here in Miami, I love that guitar maybe I'm gonna buy it this week, thank you for help me to choose which one buy.

  • Such a nice looking guitar! :)

  • Holy Shit !! You sound exactly like Richard Gere !!

  • Is there a big difference between all mahogany and maple top? Please answer. I bought the all mahogany and now Im tormented thinking I should have bought the one with maple...

  • @orithelion The maple top will give the guitar more attack, and a brighter, more treble-y sound... The mahogany top, on the other hand, leads to a warmer sounding guitar. If you're really that tormented, I'm sure you could find somebody to trade with, or get pickups voiced for more treble response.

  • @leatherwings007

    Thanks! :)

  • @orithelion no problemo, señoro

  • Hi, great demo. This guitar has maple top? I have read conflicting answers on the subject, maybe depends on the year... thanks.

  • @zzseba I think as of 2011 Gibson started putting maple tops on. The older ones were all mahogany. $749.00 at nstuffmusic but you will not find it on our website you'll have to call 412-828-1003

  • @NstuffMusic Thanks for the reply.

  • chambered ?

  • @hjalmarBuoi Yes there is chambered weight relief.

  • i've heard that this Les Paul is not so heavy, that's right?, i don't want to get tired while playing about what are we talking referring to weight?

  • @JUANDAVVIDLIVMIRARC It is chambered for weight relief. $749.00 at nstuffmusic. call 412-828-1003 if your interested.

  • One thing that I really like about this site, Im not too comfortable about buying a guitar I havent put my hands on, but I would take Marks word and playing and feel completely comfortable buying one of these without playing it first.

  • Hey would you mind helping me out, I have the exact same guitar but my g string always comes out of tune, I'm wondering if you have any tips or things to help keep it in tune

  • @vooodoochild17 Any certain string?

  • Comment removed

  • @NstuffMusic Yes the g string

  • @vooodoochild17 If you do a string lock on the string and stretch it real good that will usually help. Also you might try some lube in the nut (Big Bends nut lube)

  • @vooodoochild17 it helps to notch/file just a little on the nut, gibson is infamous for this,,check it first by,,above the nut when its tuned press on the string,,if u hear kink! and its out of tune,,,file it

  • I am really digging the faded series. I like the feel of the neck, and the tone seems a little smoother to me.

  • Which one would you recommend this or the normal Studio model? Is the finish the only difference (besides the pups)?

  • Hi, great demo. One question, some people complains about the faded finish, it´s beautiful but seem that wears quickly and it stain with sweat ... and direct light change body color.. of course, guitars are babys, they need much care :) , but this is true? Thanks, seriously thinking y buy one of this but Blue Satin model, awesome. Thanks

  • @zzseba I know some people who have owned this guitar for a couple years and their guitar still looks fine.

  • @zzseba Hi- sorry for late reply- but I agree with NstuffMusic, I have had this same guitar for several years and use it pretty often. The neck finish shines up and smoothes out a bit, but thats it so far. Do not use any waxes or strong cleaners on it. At most, a lightly damp cloth is all you need to clean it. I love this guitar the way it plays and the feel of the finish- I doubt you would regret getting one, its great!

  • he looks like michael stipe

  • Can anyone tell me if the body of this guitar is chembered or not?

  • @Boro4 ....It is chambered!

  • 2:37

best chord I've ever heard in my life

  • Just ordered one!

  • i had no idea a gibson could give out some very warm resonate jazz tones!? thats fantastic!

  • I saw it kinda fat on the high neck notes.. so will i have difficulties when playing high notes?

  • I love this guitar!!!! have to play it using my bos headphones for now going through garage band, but I just can't get enough of the feel this guitar has!

  • Should I get this or an epiphone les Paul standard? Which is better?

  • @uberwolf1 I like the Les Paul Studio Faded better I think it has better craftsmanship. $749.00 at nstuffmusic with free shipping. You have to call not online 412-828-1003 ask for Jason.

  • @uberwolf1 don't get an epiphone they're crap. the les paul stydio faded is worth the small price

  • @ergysmania1 It's painted but with a low gloss finish.

  • you know you got jipped when you done get a case

  • Do you guys carry the swamp ash studio? Would love to hear Mark demo one. Mark you do the most complete demonstrations on YouTube.

  • ...'love to hear my LES PAUL plugged into a FENDER-AMP !!! greetings from berlin/germany from LES(S) is more...

  • Yeah it's a maple top, not mahogany. Check it out @ the Gibson site.

  • @jakechrisley The newer LP Studio Faded models have a Maple top.

  • @NstuffMusic could you review the new model? is there a major difference, because I'm thinking of buying my first gibson ;)

  • Does it have the 50s fat neck?

  • @adamsvok It has the 50's rounded neck shape. It's doesn't have a really fat neck.

  • @NstuffMusic Thank you!

  • i like the studio in wb and mapel top ;-)

  • is that the faded cherry?

  • @BenCoteMusic Yes that color is called "Worn Cherry"

  • @NstuffMusic thanks!

  • Can you make a review of the same guitar but can you demo a good overdriven rock sound

  • This guitar can handle anything you can throw at it.

  • @NstuffMusic i can vouch for that

  • Hey, can this guitar make sort of a progressive rock sound, like Alex Lifeson (Rush), or Steve Howe (Yes)? Also, can it make an AC/DC heavy rock 'n roll sound? I am thinking of either buying this or a Fender American HSS Stratocaster, which is better for the sound I'm looking for?

  • Comment removed

  • @astrophysics123

Yes. You are in the market for a Gibson Les Paul. Lifeson uses them and so does Howe. They both use more high-end hollow bodies too...however....this guitar (with your Angus Young reference) is right up your alley. Seriously...it has some SG qualities along with some Standard Les Paul beef. From what you've described...this is the one.

  • @Sn4pDr4gon

Also...with the price Nstuff quoted above...you really can't beat this deal. (Seriously, check out the competition).

  • @Sn4pDr4gon all right, thanks

  • @astrophysics123

No problem. I think the main reason Mark is demoing this guitar with a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 is to show the clarity and tone. (The Deville has one of the best clean channels one the market...if not one of the best of all time.)

However...with a great overdrive channel (Marshall, Mesa Boogie) you will be finding your overdrive sound in no time. Overall the best tone comes from the hands first and the guitar second (which this guitar has). Everything else is secondary.

  • @astrophysics123 I use mine through my Marshall Vintage Modern on a daily basis and this thing can handle anything you can throw at it. Compared it to my bud's 1958 RI from the 80s and the sound was nearly identical (the faded had a little more bass response).

You won't be disappointed. The older ones have a much darker finish than the one in this video (much more beautiful imo)

  • That amp don't do this guitar justice man, I recommend at least a Marshall AVT275 amplifier if you're serious about buying a Gibson. The Gibson itself doesn't comprehend for all of the great sound quality, you need a suitable amp to go with it

  • I play metal music. Which would be favorable to metal, the faded model, or the normal? Because I know they have different pickup sets. Thanks.

  • @Daemonfury1 Both would be OK for metal but the non faded studio has hotter and brighter sounding pickups which would be better for metal or you could put in some active EMG pickups and it would be great for metal.

  • A real GIBSON on a fender shit amp?!?!

  • @sandergrandia it should be on a Marshall huh?

  • @sandergrandia whats wrong with fender amps???????

  • @sandergrandia you have so much to learn if you think an amp is shit just because it's a fender. even if you could actually say what it is you think is wrong with fender amps it'd just be your opinion and mean nothing to anyone else.

  • Fender amps are amazing, and is good value. Go use your $2,000 Marshall JVM410H if that's what you like.

  • I love it so freaking much ...

  • what's the weight of this awesome guitar? :)

  • @guitarmaniactm 7.3 Lbs $749.00 at nstuffmusic. call 412-828-1003

  • @NstuffMusic thank you ;)

  • @NstuffMusic i found it for 699 on musiciansfriend

  • @BOOBYBROS Yeah but try to get any customer service after the sale...GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE! They cannot come close to even the condition you get the guitar when buy from us. We go over it with a fine tooth comb, and make sure it play like a dream.

  • @NstuffMusic do u sell esp ltd mh 1000

  • Respond to this video... We do not have one in stock right now.......We did have one for $899.00 about a month ago.

  • @BOOBYBROS P.S. We would match the $699.00 on top of the killer service! : )

  • @NstuffMusic lol sweet man but i have a les paul by epiphone standard plus top so im lookin at a esp ltd mh-1000. thanks for responding man

  • You know there are other types of music genre's then jazz right? Obviously not cause you only play jazz!

  • @TheGoryl1 You do know this dude has hundreds of videos where he plays more than jazz, you utter moron.

  • @NegiTom Never seen one

  • @Umjetnik13 The Les Paul sound is such a iconic sound it would work great for all those styles.

  • Hi Mark, according to the Gibson website this guitar has a maple top with mahogany back (not mahogany top)???

  • @noonsound The new ones about 2 months ago have a maple top but the older ones are all mahogany.

  • @CrispyChris98 Yes.

  • @CrispyChris98 Yes it screws right off.

  • @ChrispyChris98 ya I took the pickguard off mine and it looks awesome

  • nice sound, but you need to get a longer scarf

  • i live in mexico, and i want one of these, where can i find it, and how much??

  • @AldoZuper The guitar is $749.00 with gig bag plus shipping would cost $240.00 via UPS. Since your out of the country we only except bank transfer as payment. If your interested let me know and I will send you the bank info.

  • On the gibson website Specs, it says it has a Maple Top. Am I reading it wrong or does it actually have a Maple Top?

  • @AnUnexplainable The new Les Paul Studio Faded have a maple top $749.99 with gig at nstuffmusic but you will have to call or email it's not on our site.412.828.1003

  • Could you guys do a review on the normal les paul studio (non-faded, 498t 490r pickups, fireburst finish etc.)

  • great movie, thx man

  • I own this in the worn brown. the non-lacquered mahogany neck makes it really, really easy to play.

  • i need to stop watching your videos, you convince me too spend too much money!

  • Mine came with a hardcase shell, not the gig bag. I did buy it from my local Guitarcenter a few years ago, so my situation may differ from the norm.

  • @luckyjinxer They came with a hard case a couple years ago but know they come with a gig bag.

  • @feenzfeenzfeenz they gave me a hardcase at guitar center.

  • Is this guitar is the GIBSON Les Paul Studio Faded LTD Nashville USA ?

Excuse me if my question is stupid... but there are a lot of gibson studio faded ^^

And I think it's going to be my next guitar !

  • @Giltindor Yes they come out of the Nashville USA factory.

  • Just wondering if in these vids over the past few weeks if this is a 4x10 or a 2x12 Deville. Thanks!

  • @makowski20 It's a 2x12

  • I don't think there are any other guitars produced today that are cheaply made, more overpriced, pieces of junk than a bargain Gibson, most notably the faded guitars

  • @yitboy11 So true.

  • wish this still came with the hardcase

  • Sounds warm! Probably my next guit will be one of those!

  • @EdgarBeja $749.00 AT NSTUFFMUSIC
