An all wheel drive vehicle like the GTR is a better handling car than the read wheel drive Corvette ever will be. Either way, for under 45,000 u.s. dollars. The Corvetteve C6 base model is an amazing car. However for under 100,000 u.s. dollars the 2012 GTR beats supercars.

I generally like Farahs approach to unbiased critiquing of cars from a "real" buyers point of view. But I disagree with his justification for calling the Z06 and ZR1 not super cars. Vette seats integrate with the interior for support, which makes them functional for comfort and track use alike. Also, the steering wheel is great no matter what car sits also in. I agree that a Corvette is atypical for a super car for it's daily driver approach and comparatively low cost, but that it's niche.
Definitely my favorite supercar....I love Ferraris, Lambos but there is just something about this that just catches me. Nothing like american muscle but I think people would have to ride in this car to appreciate it. Don't care what anyone says....if I had the money...id get this. They'll ask why an american car for that price and i'll say....cuz im RICH BITCH!

@burtonium1 Already run my modified 78 Firebird at Willow Springs Raceway and have turned in some pretty nice times around the track for what the car can do, I can push it a lot more but don't want to end in a wall somwhere along the line with my project/weekend driver/track racer. I've done some tinkering with it, although it should turn a quicker lap since I'm upgrading to the Katech LS7 pretty soon and updating the suspension a bit with full coil overs instead of leafs.

nevermind there is more to cars than straight away speed. The Z06 cannot beat a GTR. The ZR1 can beat a GTR in straight line speed but not in corners. No Corvette handles like a GTR. It takes a very skilled driver to drive a ZR1. Yet a GTR is as easy to drive as a Altima.

No it doesn't. Ur an idiot. I can't afford the GTR but I can afford a Corvette. I've done extensive research on the GTR and the Corvette. No American muscle car can outhandle a GTR. An all wheel drive vehicle like the GTR is a better handling car than the read wheel drive Corvette ever will be. Either way, for under 45,000 u.s. dollars. The Corvetteve C6 base model is an amazing car. However for under 100,000 u.s. dollars the 2012 GTR beats supercars.

and the corvette is most definitely the go to car for price and numbers. the lingenfelter z06 for example. 1100 hp TT427 0-60 in less than 2.8 seconds. aint no ferrari or porsche fuckin with that. the z06 had all the lamborghinis beat. the lingenfelter and zr1 are beasts. and it pisses me off that they only put the ls3 in the zr1. if they would have dropped the ls7 with tht supercharger it would have made way more power and better numbers. its only a supercharged 374ci ls3. disappointing

I generally like Farahs approach to unbiased critiquing of cars from a "real" buyers point of view. But I disagree with his justification for calling the Z06 and ZR1 not super cars. Vette seats integrate with the interior for support, which makes them functional for comfort and track use alike. Also, the steering wheel is great no matter what car sits also in. I agree that a Corvette is atypical for a super car for it's daily driver approach and comparatively low cost, but that it's niche.

@burtonium1 Already run my modified 78 Firebird at Willow Springs Raceway and have turned in some pretty nice times around the track for what the car can do, I can push it a lot more but don't want to end in a wall somwhere along the line with my project/weekend driver/track racer. I've done some tinkering with it, although it should turn a quicker lap since I'm upgrading to the Katech LS7 pretty soon and updating the suspension a bit with full coil overs instead of leafs.
