it probably doesn't matter what notes you play, the piece is so damn dissonant in some areas that when note flexibility comes into play it doesn't make any difference. and yes... I am a clarinetist that has performed this piece before.
@overlord1294 The note at :40 and :44....and :58 as said below does not sound right at all....the notes that are in the major scores that I've heard....from professional to amateur are completely different than here and sound correct...it makes a HUGE difference.
Huh?? There are some different notes played here than the ones in my score (and played on other versions posted on YouTube): E instead of F at 0:40, and again E instead of C at 0:44. C# instead of A at 0:58...why?
this piece has been revised about 6519874984984 times, I have 3versions of this and all of them have a few different notes, particularly the E in place of the F in the beginning that you mentioned. I believe that the original manuscript of Poulenc's is lost...
