Real artistry is the ability to dance within the frame of the tune and come up with rhythmic and melodic ideas that are so inventive so original that the form is transended. Not to mention the incredible dialog between these two master musicians. This goes way beyond shreading. There is deep listening and expression. It is done so seamlessly that it becomes magical.

If people want to be that picky about it then the slight blemish of a tiny unclear note from Bireli was at 2:33 not 2:32. ;) Great playing from two great guitarists. I like Bireli on acoustic more though. But thats just a personal preference.

The song is a framework that you can begin with and end with, but from there, take it anywhere you want... the more fucked around with, the more jazzy, some might even say. Again, with all respect. I understand the desire to honor the original song too.
