  • Bruh, you might have moved on to Logic, BUT this still is one of the dopest MV vids out! I agree with KDavid no doubt! Dante also sold me on the MV when I saw this vid & I'll never part with mine either! He killed this sample!

  • this is awful, a mess

  • Yooouurrr facccce againnnn...... Can't get this sample out of my head.

  • That beat was sick, the sample was crazy.

  • danta lewis is a faggg

  • There is more to music then pressing a button! lol

  • 30 PEOPLE NEED TO BE CHOPPED UP LIKE THIS DOPE ASS SAMPLE HE DID!!!

  • THIS GUY IS THE REASON I GOT MY MV AND I KNOW HE DOESNT USE IT ANYMORE BUT I LOVEMINE AND WILL NEVER TRADE MINE. AS A MATTER FACT MY JOINT BOUT TO BE AN UPGRADED OPTIMUS PRIME WHEN I GET THE NEW YAMAHA MOX6 OR 8 NEXT WEEK. STILL DOPE ASS BEAT THOUGH!!!!

  • Very nice my man! I could use some pointers... Keep doin you mayne!

  • so this or the mpc1000???????

    MPC 2500 and maschine)

  • @searize no...buy a casio keyboard...if u ask questions like this....the casio toy is your thing!

  • who disliked this video? The beat is bangin

  • @ndowney THANK YOU!

  • @ndowney ikke hier....echt dufte sache menneken

  • I Flipped This Shit, Sim But Der Diff.

  • Thats not an original sample. Thats in a wu beat. I think it might of been RZA. I know my shit.

  • @camploismyalias Omg Im good, my ear is a weapon. It was Ghostface that sampled from this song. The song is Nutmeg. I'm not saying you biting...my ear just has this alarm that goes off when I hear something thats been....used before......

  • this still my top 5 favorite vids on Youtube. Shit, this vid sold me on getting an MV. I love the MV but I'm thinking of getting Maschine cuz I track all my beats into Logic but cant get the MV to sync right. I've had the MV for 3yrs and still cant get that shit to sync. I love Logic though, best daw out for the price IMO. My 1 complaint about Logic is chopping samples sucks; boring and unprecise. I know there are a ton of different ways to chop a sample in Logic, but they all suck

  • @PeteGrime im using logic now... im going to do a video that might change your mind on somethings...

  • @PeteGrime im havin the same prob but now i juss mix an master in mv n bounce it as wave all in the mv8000

  • I know dudes don't like givin up samples, I dont, but what sample is this?

  • @ndowney eddie holman - its over.

  • where did u get that stand? i need one, my son keeps trying to get on mine and press buttons...

  • @mayham99 standard proline mixer stand from guitar center... about $75

  • @freshness757 cool, that helps out a lot man. good lookin. ill try to post a track soon.

  • i see u feelin your music...dont see that too much nowadays!

  • What stand is your Roland MV 8800 mounted to? Quite curious.

  • We need one of these vids again!!!!...umm...so...MAKE ONE!!!...Peace fam!

  • @Drecka940 I know right, lol?!

  • Joint is fire bruh! I still like coming back listening to how you ripped this sample bruh!

  • what kind of stand do u use for your mv?

  • at 0:41 u use samples and stuff but can i like make something like that with fl studio while using a keyboard instead of that pad thing ?

  • hi i accidently deleted one of my project is there a way of retrieving it?

  • what is better Mpc or MV cuz mpc looks easyer and cheaper with the MPC500<is there a cheaper roland MV ??????????

  • @jukeria i would say the mpc is better... but the mv is easier because everything is linear... i moved to logic tho so both my mv and mp are collecting dust... and the sp-404 is prolly rolands equivalent to the mpc 500...

  • @freshness757 hi, i reali dont knw hw much u knw ur mv.in my opinion the mv is 5x better than the mp, it does wat the mp do and more. For me the mv rules. keep them videos coming pce

  • Dude, this track is seriously dope as shit.

  • @noodlesoup1998 thanks for listening bro!

  • Here's the perfect example of the fool running the machine.. It produces nothing.

  • i have a mv-8800...da stock sounds are trash to me...was i supposed to geet it tricked out..or get vst cd's and manually add more sounds into the machine or sumthing?..plz let me know..appreciate it

  • @DVittoreTV I BOUGHT DRUM KITS FROM EBAY SELLERS AND LOADED DRUMS ON THE HARD DISK IN MY MV....MAYBE THIS WILL HELP. I BOUGHT RZA, KANYE, DR. DRE AND HAVOC DRUMS FROM EBAY AND EACH DISK WAS LIKE 7 DOLLARS

  • @DVittoreTV yeah the stock roland sounds are tough to deal with, i just made a data disk and uploaded my own drums in it.

  • i feel the drums but i was expecting a little more from the samples man

  • @chulukinat yeah it was my first day with the machine, but thanks for listening fam.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss

  • Yo whats the quantize set at!

  • @prophacy1000 didnt quantize at all...

  • I wish someone would do something productive with these machines!!!!! sounds like a load of sampled shit rammed together....just because you can!!!!!!

  • Yo! Dante what's the name of the stand you're using to hold the MV at a angle

get at me if u wanna put those beats for good use..

    Tigger

  • Its really all about the sounds for sure like he said. If you need any samples for your MPC or MV, I have over 1900 titles in all formats-akai-emu-wav-acid loops-etc and also 750gb hard drives full of sounds. Theres also a 750gb Program Drive for both Mac and PC with all the best RTAS-VST-AU instruments out.

Email me at pcosxtech @ yahoo for the list.

  • now thats real hip hop

  • like your head boppin

  • ur gay....

  • The style is similar to Todd Edwards(house)im impressed ...peace

  • eddie holman - its over....the sample

  • Your beat is fire................

  • i can't stop to listen e and watch...i want this tune...!!!!

  • I'm feelin' it yo. Nice arrangement.

  • DOPE! thats all there is to it man...much respect and mad props

  • this is video became my new dope, i like this sound...but have really produced this track? whats the name?

  • he needs to sell this beat, i could see de la soul KILLING it maybe will i am doing a chorus

  • with re- to the guy crittin saying its a 5 piece puzzle..... i listen with my ears. If its good its good regardless of process, technical ability , software, hardware or any fucking ware

    Peace

  • whats different with an MV-8800 verses any MPC?

  • How about; it crushes all recent MPCs with ease. :p Nah, seriously though, the differences are pretty big and esp. the MV-8800 is easily better than the MPC5000, MPC2500 and MPC1000. More options, features, sounds, possibilities, basically the MV-8800 is a REAL beast. I'm not saying you can't make AWESOME music with either of the MPCs I've mentioned, those machines ROCK too, but it ain't the same as an MV-8800. I'd say go for it if you really wanna make some fire!

  • The new MPC's suck so I would say the MV-8800 is better by a little bit. To be honest they both suck. But it's not the machine its the producer. But i've never seen someone produce fire on an mv-8800 or mpc's later than the mpc 4000

  • just blaze used the 4000 for a while

  • Nothing. Depends what u like to use.

    What inspires u.

  • Finally something I actually dig!

    Keep it rocking dog

    I feel dat shit

  • this shit is too easy. everyone can do this. its like makin a fuckin 5 piece puzzle.

  • yo bro where did you get the stand?

is it even meant for the MV?

    thanks

  • What kinda stand are you using to hold your MV-8800?

  • that shit is hot

  • yo how u keep the sample playing? wen i play it i gotta hold tha pad down?

  • you click the hold button on teh bottom left then click the pad you want. thatll play it till its done.

  • record your sample to an audio track not MIDI and then set PAD trigger to drum

  • thanx man

  • I'll never abandon hardware but FL studio murders that as far as workflow. You could program way more complex patterns with an assortment of VST instruments at your fingertips much quicker. I love hardware's sound engines though but a great engineer can even do that with software. Also clicking buttons or a mouse all the time aint like banging on them pads.

  • your nuts man, who would want a "virtual" instrument over a real instrument? Pretty soon some ppl are going to say "virtual" women are better than real women. LOL

  • are you mixing up your tracks in the mv or are you using extern gear like pro tools?

  • i am from germany and i like your style how to handle the mv.

i own the mv too. But where i can get these holding for the mv? Cause now i put my mv on the table and it sucks. i need more freedom with it to put it around the room. hopefully u can help me.

    big shoutz from germany. Peace

  • rza sampled the same shit for a ghostface song

  • damn thats a little too much info u dont wanna just give away the mans samples

  • Nah he does a good job with it. Mad samples are multiples so its all good

  • Yea i dig but u gotta leave something for the non producers to think about lol DANTE WHENS THE NEXT VIDEO???

  • keep killin it man...this is what dope mcs spit over.

  • jazzy, i like funky shit like this

  • hey what song was that sample from? i dig it.

  • damn da haters what da south do is hiphop too music is music period just done in diffrent slang in diffrent coast same message think like a grown man and not high school child

  • and i thought real hip hop was dead keep bangin son

  • a beat a sample and a rap...thats 6 tracks (stereo)..what is the use of having a 48 tracks pro tools???it's time to expend creativity..there's to much empty tracks peace out Hip hop dont stop.

  • aye that was put perfectly...if you know how to work with an 8 track joint...do it...i'm sick of ppl always braggin bout pro tools and shit...i record str8 thru my roland fantom

  • If you're like me you'll build the beat with all those available tracks. Every sound played doesn't need every effect available. I build the beat then mix it to 2-track stereo. Then I have all those available channels for vocals. You'll see that method if you watch closely to some of the shows on tv like MTB4. Antoher reason is you may want to add or take away parts of the music once the vocals are done.

  • i agree with maudymar real music for real people.

  • I'm sorry ya'll. but this takes no talent. I'm not hating, but as a producer I know. The sample did most of the work for him. all he had to do was the drums. Let's get back to when musicians who made music actually played instruments.

  • It might not take that much work as you say, but it sure does sound good. And why not bring the past back to life? Now an old song that other wise would have been sitting in someone's crate is reincarnated via hip hop. Rebirth. Get it how you get it.

  • Just look at the elements of hip-hop...I believe DJ'ing is there...I don't see instrument playing...And what do DJ's do? They mix sounds. Not playing a instrument doesn't make you less of a musician. Oh yeah, BTW, samplers and synthesizers are instruments. Techno and trance music and many others also use turntables and samplers..does that make them less of musicians? Nope.

  • yeah man you understand how to make a great song faboulous

  • Nice

  • IDK about that second part..but the first part had my head knockin..

  • OK beat... a little to choppy.
