wonderful, some visual kei buffoonery... visual kei is not only an affront to rock but a massive slight to the image of what japanese rock is--especially to a uninformed forgein audience. grown men slathering a dozen cakes of gaudy circus makeup and adopting various glam affectations does little to compensate for the watered down, sugar-infused, populist permutations on metal/glam/goth-rock that form the basis of the heinous subculture and muzak that is visual kei.
