Tbere is a part I really liked how the Fox didn't wait two seconds to open his door for him after just slamming it. The moment he hears Droopy cry he reopens his door to hear his plight thus setting up the one of the most classic cartoon endings, Droopy being jolly. He found true happiness through the compassion of the Fox.

I believe that the fox's calm, most English mannerisms are based on Sir Alec Guinness, who was a young actor at that time. One of his first films, the comedy "Kind Hearts and Coronets", was released the same year as "Out-Foxed" (1949) and Guinness spoke just like our fox friend.
