Maybe its because i'm an American, where our ideal of female beauty is changing from the supermodel to her curvier (and heavier) rap video girl counter-part, but i never got why people are so hung up on the weight of others.

I've seen the Gossip for the first time live 3 days ago, and i did not expect that success : people were singing, shouting, dancing for about 2 hours. I mean, for an "indie rock" band like them, they're filling a huge 20000 people arena ( in the city where i live ) that's a surprise ( at least to me ) ..And yes Beth Ditto is awesome.

We need to celebrate those who don't conform to the ideals of beauty set by the media and popular culture but need to careful that we don't celebrate poor health (anorexia, obesity) in the process.
I say let's raise our hats to hairy armpits and tiny pricks :)

@indigo13passing Nothing more simple - to all who look like Cartman - eat less fastfood MCshit, and your nightmarish obesity will be gone. No fat = no shame. You can fool your self and say "I have problem with hormones", or "my metabolism is just slow", but lets face it, most of you eat too much. End of story. No additional calories equals no additional fat. Nothing can be created from thin air. The shame you're mumbling about is not caused by obesity, but people's weakness, weakness to say "NO"

@soulTlMAThE I disagree, to a point. You should be healthy, I.E not obese, it would be better for you. But anything past that is saying, as a culture we dislike this, you must dislike this as well, if you do not, you are wrong, now be thin, or suffer our ridicule.
On the other hand, ridicule is part of life. Life should not be lived for other people, so if being fat is your thing, own it, don't cry about the fact that others see it another way.
