  • DAMN..!!! :O

  • the drums are the hardest instrument to play... you have to play with the hands one thing and entirely different thing with the legs....

  • This rendition seems to lifeless compared to Weckl's. Sorry....just sayin'.

  • Sweet, juicy, & tight -- I like that in a song I intend to spend time with

  • clark kent!!

  • parara ra ra ra...tu tu tu ..

  • Simplismente SHOW!!!

  • toca muitooo

    q pegada viu '

  • what the hell happened to his mulelt?!

  • Love how his hands move!!! Very smooth!

  • his hits are so smooth, it looks like he's making love to his hihat.

  • es lo mejor de lo ejor :D i ike this song :D woow!!

  • LOL is this guy using an AXIS double pedal??????

  • @MapALife it's not a axis but a more expensive pedal that's called trick :)

  • @DeeperDrummer That's fucking metal right there!!!!

  • @DeeperDrummer more expensive and not any better*

  • @MapALife I know dude, hilarious!! Saw it too!:-P

  • Great

  • He sure love those double stroke rolls...

  • The drummer will always tell you where "1" is at. It's up to you to count 2..3..4.

  • Ola!

  • Great!....he makes it seem so effortless!

  • diferente o estilo dele, mas eh bacana, soa bem....

  • Jeito elegante de tocar!

  • i love you so much. PLEASe watch my vid. I listen when a man like you speaks.

  • Apenas um detalhe, o bumbo ficou um pouco baixo. Acho que seria interessante definir mais.

  • Excelente trabalho!

    Para apreciar sem moderação.

  • I hope he doesn't practice his drumming at home wearing a suit

  • filling

  • I like drummers in jacket & tie, they are rare. He is so cool and he has a good touch (I'm a drummer too). I enjoy this style very much!

  • Animalll ........... O.O

  • Lar of Mattalica is the best drummer ever.

  • @itti1977 no he isn't

  • im gonna bring the nice dress clothes back when playing music

  • Parabens Daniel, sua tecnica é excelente!

  • You need to play harder.

  • he deos the freakn same fill over and over again...thats what i meant to say

  • no groove I guess!

  • Nice drumming, but try variating the fills, there's a lot of techniques that you can use, don't just get stuck at the double stroke dude !

  • don't know whether it is just me, but i wish the music was synced more to the video.

  • @TMM93

you mean the video more synched to the music ;)

  • @TMM93 It's you and 19 more idiots, the video is fine, you need to sync your eyes with your brain maybe xD

  • @TMM93 maybe bass drum makes snare sound and fuss makes kick

  • Gentle!!!

  • sorry but i feel no rhythm and/or no groove...i just hear fills all over the place without a solid groove....

  • @dwdrummerdude Its there. If that is your argument, well Weckl is the same way, although this guy is probably playing things a lot simpler. This guy has got it down, you can see with every aspect of his playing, although he could do some work on the fills. The way this kit was miked seems to me the reason why our ears are kind of confused.

  • pretty damn good for a guy in a suit and tie :D

  • @ganitywaltz

im sure Buddy Rich would agree.

  • @ganitywaltz all the best drummers were suited...

  • @ganitywaltz And Shoes! :)

  • @ganitywaltz And white...

  • Unique groove idea. I like the doubles on fills!

  • I love Jazz....I always remember the hey Arnold´s music cartoon.

  • Dan the green drummin man...u pocket things good..!

  • What the heck is this... Wall Street meets Jazz?

  • @StevieArt hahahahahahahhahahahahah

  • @StevieArt Hahahaha

  • @StevieArt Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha!!!

  • @doctorsuceso No jodas, no pusiste atención!

  • @bencp100

    Hey,

    Obrigado pelas palávras!

    Tudo de melhor,

    Daniel

  • thats the dominator from trick.

damn, that's for speeding. weckl song, good stuff.

  • Something is wrong

  • @Sanyadr What do you think about the whole beat. Its just crap.

  • @DrummerRF

I'd say too many unnecessary double strokes bit overplayed. But that's this guy's style, his feeling. It's up to him to decide what to play )). The bass drum isn't heard well to me...

  • @Sanyadr well, tbh he's off the beat a lot of timesXD

  • @DrummerRF

Leave the businessman alone )). Beat displacement is a good thing to do.

  • @Sanyadr I Agree with you, doubles on fills are over the top and don't sound nice, bass pedal work isn't too good also; bad ending, but nice basic groove drumming , tough,

    Keep on drumming!m, Cheers

  • @Sanyadr

    Hey,

Thanks for the words man! I really appreciate your concern on the individuality of style because everyone has his own approach.

    All the Best,

    Daniel

  • @Sanyadr

    Hey,

Thanks for the words man! I really appreciate your concern on the individuality of interpretation whether you like it or not. Good point!

    All the Best,

    Daniel

  • wow...wonderful technique...awesome!!

  • awful style, doesn't do anything for me.

  • Wonderfull! see also BourneTheodoro

  • Excelente!

  • No, just, nahh

  • The unpadded bass drum DOES NOT WORK with WECKL.

  • @Satie3 I can't even hear his bass drum....

  • @ceing91 The original track is the Dave Weckl Band, which is the sickest, greatest fusion/funk that you'll ever encounter. Dave Weckl grooves like no other.

  • @DoobieFroobie ya horrible hand technique thats why he's one of the top drummers in the world gosh yer smart huh

  • @DoobieFroobie

If you really take notice...he is playing "totally relaxed"...he is playing "right on time"...putting in the triplets exactly as they were written and you say his hand technique is horrible? For you maybe but certainly not for him...and many GREAT drummers play double overhand...its an Accepted style of holding the sticks...his level of tension free drumming is as good as you will see from any Pro drummer.

Really Nice Suit--Shows the man has excellent Taste as well.

  • @kc5tng

    Hey,

Thanks for the words! And, of course the comments on the suit!

    Daniel

  • @DoobieFroobie Technique????? buddy his style is his technique, the sticks are moving extremely well in his hands and most importantly he is completely RELAXED!! I'm a firm believer in natural technique, just pick up the sticks and play how your hands and feet want to without having to play with forced technique. If you look at every top class drummer, His/Her techniques are completely different, everyone has their own style/way of playing their instrument.

  • @chopzmasta07

    Hey,

    Thanks for the words!

    Daniel

  • This is very good I love Dave Weckl's music and this guy plays it very well. I look forward to seeing more of this guys playing. Good job.

  • @paulwall1981

    Hey Paul,

    Thanks for the words!

To play Weckl´s music is always a challenge and I´m very happy by the fact you liked it!

    Daniel

  • wow! amazing relaxation man! very hard to come by technique on that level!

  • @Groovemaster2k

    Hey,

    Thanks for the words man!

    Daniel

  • I find his technique much better than most of pros. He plays effortless. Love it. Smooth, controlled and extremely groovy.

By the way, nice suit. Elegant

  • @sabueso32

    Hey,

    Thanks for the words!

    Daniel

  • im sorry, but im glad to see that im not the only one that is bothered by his technique. his mind seems like its in the right place, and thats a funky groove, but the dead fish thing ain't workin for me. more fingers=more control ... wat mics are those

  • @hintermister yes exactly is what im trying to say, his fingers is like a dead fish that was a perfect example, its like more sexy to use all the fingers and its better, and more controls and everything is better when using all the fingers

  • @verygoodman91 I agree that fingers give more control to me. But unless it is not exactly your arm and fingers, you cannot know what is better for him. That's the deal every drum master is trying to say in their DVD's clinics etc. When you reach a certain level you should find your own spot. There is no unique truth in drumming anyway.

  • @OKEKOBEB Yes its true, but i dont think that he want to play with dead fish thing with his fingers, i think its more like its a incorrect learn from the beginning , which i think he will like to do it correct, and yes there is some unique truth in drumming, that´s why drumming is the most difficult instrument to learn right or wrong,

  • @OKEKOBEB

    Hey,

Thanks for the words! On the tecnique subject, I would not say that´s a better one but, I would like to state that this is really what works for me.

    Daniel

  • @hintermister

    Hey,

Thanks for your concern but what´s the deadfish thing?

    The mics are Shure SM58s

    Daniel

  • @danyelow75 took me awhile, i never check my youtube accnt. first off, if it sounds good, thats all that matters, right? but the deadfish thing i was talking about is how loosely you hold on to your sticks, with a combination of leading with your hand rather than the bead of the stick. prolly just the corpsman in me coming out

  • quite don't like his style, but this sounds amazing!!!

  • @alberellos

    Hey,

    Thanks for the words!

    Daniel

  • Comment removed

  • is it anybody else than me that notice that he is just touching the drums not hit the drums like it would be

  • @verygoodman91

    Yes, very good finger control

  • @Callaar

No i mean that he is not using all his fingers when he use the stick to bounce, and that is not wrong but not that good if he wanna hit harder and controlled

  • @verygoodman91

Very true, I noticed that too now that you mentioned it. Ya those back fingers are key to good control and proper volume of the second hit on a double stroke.

  • @verygoodman91 Maybe he's just going for a more quiet, subtle hit...

  • @Callaar

But if he´s just going for a more quiet, subtle hit then why dont he use all of his fingers, instead to do like that with just 2-3 fingers and the rest dosent do anything sensible, that is a incorrect learn from the beginning that he learn that wrong, then it´s difficult to change when he is on pro level and doing that incorrect from the beginning that's why people should go to drumschool and learn anything from the beginning before they start their carrer

  • @verygoodman91 you may say that much, but in the technique is just a medium for you to use to express yourself. and this man, expresses himself quite well i must say.

  • @FINCHster yes i agree that this man expresses himself well and really good drummer, but he dosent be able to have the perfect accuracy, not because nobody is perfect but it´s like almost perfect with use of the drumstick with all the fingers if you know what i mean.

  • @verygoodman91

    Hey,

    Thanks for the words!

    Daniel

  • Must get hot in the suite, lighten up and wow!

  • @motocyclin3

    Hahahahahahahahhahahaah!

  • Basicamente, perfeito!

  • Basically perfect! Except, the fact that the performance of the guitar have been more than basic. I think they could have done something better than a funcky on guitar ...

  • Is it LM402?

  • @McJohnGr well no it isnt...

  • Great !! You have awsome technique ...also great outfit :)

  • @Rokfish27

    Hey,
