I drive trucks in the States....and when i first seen this i couldn't figure out how a sober truck driver could not notice he was pushing a car down the road. But...at closer look....the fact that the truck is a "cab-over"...combined with the driver who is obviously sitting quite low in the seat....i suppose it is possible.

Something else I just noticed. The guys filming do nothing to try and catch the truck to make it aware, This means one of two things. It is fake OR its real and they are inconsiderite pricks. I have one major problem with this video. Look at the tires. No smoke and no sparks. No to mention that the truck is running smoothly. I used to drive a truck professionally. It would be impossible to push something like that and not feel it. Also you can see the car bobbing just a tiny amount. It is strapped to the front the the truck. It it was on the ground it would be sparking and smoking like crazy.

If you look around on youtube, you'll find tv interviews with the car driver. But for funs let's examine your argument. The force of the truck moving kept the car "still", as I understand the truck's bumper had hooked under the side of the car too.

It's -raining-, might explain lack of smoke. There are actually sparks too, if you watch properly. The incident lasted for about a minute, before cops could get there. cont

You say the lorry would have trouble getting up to speed? The lorry already was at cruising speed, on a motorway. The car driver went to change lanes and the lorry clipped the car. Like I said, it was raining, and that adds a LOT of noise to an already noisy as fuck motorway in a noisy as fuck lorry. Since the car was also traveling at speed, the collision impact wasn't immense, and the car turned 90 degrees quite fluidly. cont

Don't forget that lorries are MADE to haul very heavy cargoes. The weight of a mere car isn't much on a lorry's engine at all, you must have seen lorries that haul stacks of cars around, right? With the impact apparently not having been significant, and with the weather conditions/noise conditions in mind, it's seemingly quite easy to not notice.

Basically, keep the fuck out of blind spots, the interviews make these comments pointless, I just wanted to show you up a bit lol

@hamneggwich Its no surprise, if you've ever driven or been in those Clio's they weigh virtually nothing. They are the smallest and lightest of tin-can Renaults you can buy with a puny 1.2 litre engine. They feel like vulnerable little cars to be in. I'm amazed that it held out in body strength against that lorry. Normally Renaults don't!

True that! I guessed the actual impact wasn't so great since both vehicles were traveling at similar speeds, had there been more discrepancy the Clio very well could have come apart. Lucky the car was only stuck there for a minute or two, eh?

@hamneggwich Whenever I drive my sisters Rover 200 my eyes, ears and limbs are looking at anything lurking around. I know its a small car and I know its the most vulnerable to attack from larger 4x4's and HGV's thats why I am extra-vigilant in it. If anything hits me I'm dead, Clio's like this one are the same level as Rover 200's and trying to barge a lorry with a Clio is asking for it. In a bigger car I know I am generally safer but with small cars you have no headroom or width! Dead!!!

@hamneggwich It could have done quite easily, don't forget that Clio sized cars offer the least amount of headroom, bootspace and width. So there is always less of a car to protect you against impacts and to make these matters worse, they are often the weaker bodyshells with the lowest levels of safety equipment. At least with bigger cars you have a huge boot which is a mile away from your arse and a wider car with thicker doors which holds away the cabin intrusion better. Not in a Clio. Lol

Anyway, I think the person who made the video, if it DID turn out to be fake, they would have come forward to say it is fake because the police are involved.
