I think she is criticizing people for being too passive against corrupt politicians. My mother said that when she was in university, students used to protest and there would be strikes. We had a string of very BAD presidents who would go after the good candidates by unlawful imprisonment, or assassination and civilians started to fear for their lives. After a man received a letter bomb in the mail and leaders continuously fell through with their promises, people just lost faith.

@lollipopyumyum yes, your mother is right , she is talking about DELE GIWA who was he editor of a political journal in the mid 80's he was sent a very sophisticated letter bomb because he was about to come up with some explosive political dynamite , i lived thru all that era and remember it very well, the coup d etats , the strikes, the unrest , the curfews,. but times are changing, we have a new generation that wont settle for the welter of corrupt politicians and want to change things .

Notice how good this sounds when you only have 2 or 3 instruments playing... and not some big ol’ group in there... this is all you need.
